Wheel problem #1

The tires keep coming out of alignment which causes vehicle vibration, a pull to the left and premature wearing of the tires that then have to be replaced every 10-20k miles. Lexus is aware the is series cars wear tires this way but state its bc this is a high performance vehicle. The vehicle vibration and driveline issues can get bad enough that it could pull a vehicle into a different lane potentially causing an accident. Had it into the Lexus dealership 6+ times for this and after replacement of tires (on 2nd visit) to the recommended tires for my vehicle, it still keeps happening. Then I take it in again and again, technician still can't find an issue and then they just rebalance and align the tires again. Then it's out of alignment again within a week to week and a half. Found out not long ago that the original owner also reported this exact same issue at 5k miles. Manufacturer has not inspected it to my knowledge but tons of people in the clublexus. Com forum mention this same issue continuously.

Wheel problem #2

I leased a new 2019 is 300 in Dec 2018 for my then 18yo daughter. Since the start of this contract, we have had the car serviced several times for multiple issues: the ac not working, then the "o" ring being crimped, something broken in the fuel pump (causing my 19yo daughter to be stuck on the side of the road) and now recalled, the brakes, the speakers, the sunroof not opening fully, the car jerks when going downhill, etc. We took the car in for scheduled service on 5/28/20, and when my daughter picked up her car on 5/30/20, then tire light was on. The service manager had air put in the tire and sent her on her way. When I arrived from California (where I live) on 6/1/20, the tire light was on again, so I took the car for service. Now, we are faced with improper wear to the inside of all 4 tires (the steel cords/belts are coming through the tires). The service manager, tom (at performance Lexus in mason, OH), told me yesterday, 6/4/20, this is how the suspension is made on this vehicle and the tires only last about 20,000 miles, now they are in dangerous condition, so I need to purchase a different brand (michelin) of new tires and do an alignment before it can be driven. I asked "if the tires are in such a dangerous condition, why would you allow my daughter to drive the vehicle off the lot, and if this is related to the suspension, how will purchasing new tires and doing an alignment resolve/prevent this issue from occurring in the future?" also, I found the service receipt under the floor mat, it was not given to my daughter. I am unable to upload the service receipt and video. This is the web address:https://96331. Iserviceauto. Com/2c5ef112fef7d5956ea2b11427b76465c68621c4.

The dealership has offerred to replace the defective tire. They claim they do not know what caused the failure, even after an engineer came out. There is $2300 of damage to the car according to jm Lexus as a result of the failure and there were injuries. Wheel problem #5

Lexus Is300 2002 vehicle rollover on freeway. Defect that caused the car to roll was from the left front wheel/rim broke in half while driving. I was merging and heard something break under the car. My steering wheel turned a hard right forceful and without my control. I tried to straighten the steering wheel out from this involuntary harsh direction of vehicle, it was locked up. I turned completely around facing traffic. All attempts to turn the steering column would not allow me to do so (completely locked position). The vehicle spun and I heard and felt the back end hit something. The car catapulted over a 8 ft. Fence that separates the access road. The car landed on its roof. My airbags never deployed! impact crushed the roof into the ground I was suspended upside down by my seat belt. The car engine was still running. I attempted to unlatch my seat belt, it took a few attempts. I could not find a door handle, or window to get out. I tried forcing the drivers door open. It would not move, I was trapped inside the upside down vehicle. In a panic, I feared the car would spill gasoline and catch fire. I turned the ignition off. I then realized no one stopped to help. . . I forced my body to hit the door over and over, to break it open. I got the side mirror to break allowing the door to open a few inches. . . Just enough to crawl out. I went back in to find my phone and call 911. At that time a person pulled over. I found my phone and for some reason I decided to take a picture of the vehicle. I captured the broken wheel in the picture. Police asked me what happened, I said over and over "it locked up". . . My phone battery died right after I took the picture. I didn't have medical coverage for emergency, so I didn't go to the hospital. The cop said, "people don't walk away from this kind of accident" he advised I go with the ambulance, however I couldn't afford the cost. I didn't realize I was injured, until later. No one has ever seen a wheel do that.

The contact owns a 2004 Lexus is 300. The contact experienced two tire failures, in which they spontaneously flattened. She has low profile chrome-plated wheels. She took the vehicle to a tire repair shop and was informed that the inside of the chrome wheels was corroded and did not seal properly during inflation. As a result, air inevitably leaked from the tires. The technician also stated that she needed to replace all four wheels. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 40,000 and current mileage was 44,000.
