Lexus IS350 owners have reported 11 problems related to vehicle speed control (under the vehicle speed control category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving down on I-90 west going to buffalo NY coming from boston MA I encountered another driver in the left lane that was going extremely slow I tried to accelerate my Lexus equipped with pre-collision system (pcs) and the vehicle started beeping at me detecting that I was going pretty fast onto the person in front of me, my idea behind doing such maneuver was to pass the person in my right hand and then get off the left lane of the highway so can get off the back of the slow person, after beeping several time for splits of seconds I got to get off the left lane so the person on my right becomes the person behind me; the car did something that is not safe at all after all this and me not having nobody in front of the car, my vehicle continued to beep and applied the brake pretty hard almost making the person behind me crashing into my bumper, I believe as a car enthusiast that the pcs on the Lexus vehicles has to be improved and revised since it has a huge lag of time reaction , I consider this a big safety issue for our roads!.

In a traffic light about to make a left, when lights turned green it accelerated normally until speed was at 25-30mph its stopped there. Will only rev up to 2000 rpm would change gears but in its own desired time . Pulled over turn off the car turned it back on same happnd. Engine light went on and frm there it would run the same accelerate normally and remain in aflactuating speed of 2-30mph until now Lexus of las vegas will not aknowledge elf recall stating my car is not included in their list. Will not honor all paperwork from this website. Spoke to justin and I will now take my car home because they were insisting for me to pay to the amount of 2098 just for the high pressure pump excluding labor. Car performed well without any warnings other than the gas smell which at first we all just did not mind after checking if gas door is completely lock. Please help.

I was pulling up to a red stoplight with a car already stopped at the light. While applying pressure to the brakes, I realized the vehicle wasn't braking correctly. I started applying more pressure until I was nearly standing on the brake pedal when the engine starting revving as if I were accelerating. When I realized the car was not going to stop, I tried to put the car in park. Luckily, I only tapped the car in front of me which startled the 3 children in the back seat of that car. When the driver of the other car and I got out of our cars, we could smell the burning rubber. No damage to either car, but leery to drive the vehicle. Had the rear brake pads replaced during last vehicle service in November 2013. Called the dealership this morning and was told no recall or other incidents of this nature.

Please note that I have 2 Lexus is 350's and have filed complaint for one (odi number 10315495). I am making complaint for my other is 350 since the recall applied to both. Lexus has not acted timely in determining and announcing a remedy for my vehicle in relation to the safety recall. I received a letter from Lexus USA in late 9/2009 or early 10/2009 advising me of a safety recall related to my vehicle. Recommendation from Lexus at the time was to remove driver side floor mat. Lexus letter documented that they would notify me as soon as a campaign remedy is available. It is now 5 months after notification of safety recall and according to phone conversation with my Lexus dealership service manager and Lexus USA customer service no campaign remedy for my vehicle has been determined by Lexus. These phone conversations were yesterday, 3/1/2010. Lexus has not acted timely in determining and announcing a remedy for my vehicle in relation to the safety recall.

In follow-up of my complaint (odi number 10313992) - Lexus dealership service manager had my automobile tested and said they found no problems with acceleration issue that I had reported. I inquired about when the recall "campaign remedy" would be available for my vehicle. The dealership service manager said he did not know. I explained that I received a letter from Lexus in late 9/2009 or early 10/2009 advising me of the safety recall of both of my Lexus is 350's. Recommendation from Lexus at that time was to remove driver side floor mat. Lexus letter documented that they would notify me as soon as a campaign remedy is available for my vehicles. My complaint is that Lexus has not determined a remedy for my vehicles. It is now 5 months after notification of recall and according to dealership service manager and Lexus USA customer service no campaign remedy for my vehicles - is 350 - has been determined by Lexus. This was info I obtained yesterday, 3/1/2010. Lexus has not acted timely in determining and announcing a remedy for my vehicles in relation to the safety recall.
I am driving a car which has accelerated unintentionally three times. I want Lexus to be responsible and find out why my car accelerates randomly and I want them to fix my car. I also want Lexus to admit to this safety flaw. I wish that Lexus would be punished for this serious breach in concern for public safety although that is not my immediate concern. In July of 2009 the car accelerated when the brakes were applied. The car could not be stopped by applying the brakes alone and only stopped when it was put in neutral and hit the car in front of us. Lexus attributed this to the drivers big foot. In December of 2009 while leaving a parking lot, the car leapt across a sidewalk while the brake was depressed, and did not stop until it was put in neutral. Lexus attributed this incident to a moving floor mat. In April of 2010, one week after Lexus installed a brake override of accelerator, the car engine accelerated into red rpms. The override took place but car strained against the brake and only stopped when it was put in neutral. Lexus said the car doesn't register this occurrence so to Lexus, apparently nothing happened. When the car accelerated in April after Lexus had installed the computer program to create a brake override of the accelerator, a field technician checked out the car thoroughly . I assumed that the computer fix would also record brake/accelerator action, but that was obviously not built into the modification. The field technician said that all systems in the car were functioning and that he drove it for 16 miles and there were no problems. This acceleration has happened three times in two years and the car has 25,000 miles on it. It is inconceivable to me that given the seriousness of the problem, a 16 mile test drive could be considered adequate.
As I was parking my Lexus in a parking lot, the car suddenly shot forward, moving over the parking cement barrier and crashing into a wall. The car was repaired. After I received the recall notice from Toyota relating to the floor mat issue, I made sure the floor mats were properly attached. This happened only once. I believe that the accident was caused by the floor mat sliding and pushing on the accelerator.
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6) I own a 2006 Lexus is 350. I have had two incidents of "unattended acceleration" but was fortunate that both occurred on the freeway and I was able to get the vehicle to stop accelerating. My question is this; I received a notice from Lexus, about six months ago, that there was a problem with the vehicle; however they were going to let me know when they had a fix for the problem. I've called several times, the last time was this week 3-9-10, and was told again that they do not have a fix and I need to wait and they would let me know when to bring the vehicle in. This seems dangerous, and I would like to complain that Lexus is not doing enough to either get me a replacement vehicle to drive until they fix the car, or fix it. [xxx].
Dealership sold me an unsafe vehicle.
