Electronic power steering system failure. Currently at dealership for repair. Loss of steering while driving could have caused serious harm. Fortunately, the failure occurred at startup time in driveway at home. Dealer has confirmed the electronic power steering system failure. Currently only dealer has inspected failed component. I had a maintenance service required alert prior to steering failure. Dealer performed 50k maintenance, replaced battery, alignment, and va state inspection on 01/04/2023. After driving car back home, 12 miles later, the electronic power steering failed.
