Electronic Stability Control problem #1

The contact owns a 2008 Lexus Ls460. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle and depressing the brake pedal, there was a knocking and ticking sound coming from the brakes. Additionally, the brake light, traction control light, and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The abs, brakes, and vsc messages were displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the brake actuator was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was no longer under extended warranty coverage for the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 126,000.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

While I was driving one day, my car's braking system loss power to the brakes and I almost hit another car. The car began beeping and will not stop while the car is on. I signed up for drivers. Lexus. Com to obtain the vehicle service history report and the brake actuator assembly was replaced back in 2012 which was paid out of pocket by the previous owner. 8 years later and only 55,000 miles more, the same problem has occurred. There was recall for this very vehicle in 2016 but it has ended in 2018. Now I am stuck out of being able to fix the car due to the $3,833 repair cost I can't afford. The Lexus dealership will not honor the recall since it has passed even though the repair code is due to the recall. I think this is not right, especially it is obvious that this recall has not been fixed. I have gone online and see this is happening to almost every owner of this vehicle from 2007-2015. People who have bought this car should not have to pay for a recalled issue that is still occurring even though the recall campaign has expired. This is not right for all of us, especially me who is experiencing this for the second time on this car. I was lucky in not getting in to an accident but if I was on the freeway when it did, I may as well be dead.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

The abs actuator assembly has been deemed faulty in several Toyota/Lexus vehicles. Instead of the a recall being issued a warranty enhancement was put in place to address this issue for anyone who took the car to the shop. However with out a recall most people who were owners of these vehicles was not aware to have the part checked and this is a safety issue, a very expensive part that should not normally fail and with out a recall or a letter from Lexus/Toyota a lot of people was put at a disadvantage with being able to address this issue before the warranty enhancement expired. While in motion I received all kind of error lights and a message to pull my vehicle over as soon as possible and notify the dealer. At this time my abs system is compromised and I have no traction control and my abs actuator continues to vibrate even when I turn the car off which is using the battery even more. It pulsates the entire time the car is running also. I feel with Lexus know this is a faulty part it on several of their vehicles customers that was not made aware of this issue or the warranty enhancement should not be held labile with the repair cost which is 1800 for the part and 300-400 for labor. This should be a recall or the warranty enhancement should be extended and all owners of these vehicles should be notified and Lexus/Toyota should compensate with a replacement part all the owners of vehicles which was effected. This took place while my vehicle was in motion on the interstate. My brakes are very hard to use.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Tl- the contact stated while driving at approximately 30 mph the vehicle unexpectedly stalled with three warning lights illuminated. The contact stated she depressed the accelerator to the floor board which made it sped up very fast. The vehicle was taken to an independant mechanic for a diagnostict test and the diagnosis was (unknownat the time) the dealer was notified of the failure however offered no assistance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 163,000 tp.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

My 2007 Ls460 Lexus with 100k miles has a failed brake actuator assembly ascertained by a Lexus and Toyota dealer. This was a confronted problem by Toyota for failure of the o rings within the assembly. The actuator abruptly went out while on the highway at 70mph causing brake fluid to not go to the right calipers. There is a recall for 150 k mi or 10 years, whichever occurs first. However. My Lexus was out of warranty in may, 2018 and they will not offer any help whatsoever because my warranty expired aprox. 1 year ago.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

My car is stalling all the lights are on. I was told that the recall was out for this one.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

Brake malfunction error was shown on the speedometer screen with five lights (abs, vsc, brake, traction control light, and warning light). The brake pedal became very soft and the vehicle came to abrupt stops. On other occasions the brake pedal became hard as a rock and also made the vehicle come to a jerking stop. Pulsation and noise were also noted. Dealer advised that the brake actuator part (44050-50110) was the cause of the malfunction and noise. Lexus tech and advisor noted that this is a a very common issue on this particular model - 2007 Ls460.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

Vehicle stability control fails recurrently. To dealer twice with only temporary resolution.
