Steering Problems of Lexus LS

Steering system makes noise when the steering wheel is turned. The steering has a "sticking" characteristic on the highway, making it unsafe to drive due to minor adjustments over center causing the steering rack to temporarily "lock up", then dart left or right when more force is applied. Owner contacted Lexus corporate about this issue, but they were uncooperative.

Electronic power steering system failure. Currently at dealership for repair. Loss of steering while driving could have caused serious harm. Fortunately, the failure occurred at startup time in driveway at home. Dealer has confirmed the electronic power steering system failure. Currently only dealer has inspected failed component. I had a maintenance service required alert prior to steering failure. Dealer performed 50k maintenance, replaced battery, alignment, and va state inspection on 01/04/2023. After driving car back home, 12 miles later, the electronic power steering failed.

As idrivemy car the cars drifts a little to each side as it drifts to either side the steering wheel gets completely stuck k on me and I am no longer able to steer the vehicle . I would then have to jerky wheel with force causes the whole car to jerk I had to leave my car in a parking lot and find another way home because it's to dangerous to drive in it with my 2 year old and self . As I was driving on a highway going 60 miles per hour . Very dangerous ! extremely upset !.

Apeal against the recall done by Lexus Toyota on may 16th, 2019, I took my car Lexus 2018 Ls 500 to the dealer, Lexus of woodland hills, where I bought it, for being recalled by the company. (NHTSA recall no. 19v-134) after recall defects were fixed, I drove about 4,000 miles and took the car back to the dealer for maintenance. At this time, tremendous number of deep large scrapes on all four tires, which I had never seen in the entire driving experience of my life were pointed out by the dealer. The dealer violently insisted on the scrapes were not caused by the defects. After tremendous argument, the dealer wrote, �diagnostics is required to determine the recommended correction for your concern. � the car also has stability problem. From the beginning, it lacks stability compared with Ls460 traded-in. I visited Lexus of glendale, santa monica, and thousand oaks. They were surprised at condition of scrapes, but they withheld comment. I had no choice, but to appeal to Lexus of Toyota. The failure mileage was 133,000.
