Tire Problems of Lexus LS

I have purchased 3 tires through amazon. 2 tires on February 14th 2023 and 1 tire on July 25th 2023. I have since replaced 2 tires due to them being defective. The latest tire purchased February 14th 2023 now has a bubble on the tire. All tires have been professionally installed and balanced. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Tires should last longer than this. I have attached invoices and pictures. Multiple attempts have been made to contact amazon and turbo wholesale without any resolve. Thank you, amir azam.

On March 17, 2022, I purchased 4-michelin crossclimate2 car tires (245/45r19/xl 102v) for my Lexus Ls460. From the attached photos you can see how soft the rubber is as tested with a durometer meter reading of 54 compared to 64. 5 meter on the replaced michelin radial mxv. 4 tire. Never had a single problem with the mxv. 4 tires. Those tires came with the Lexus and had a hard rubber ridge just above the rim which protects these tires from damage. I don't remember ever running into a curb with the crossclimate2 tires that caused the damage to the tire. The scuffing of the rim wheel is due to tall curbs, narrow tires, narrow drive ways and the driver of course. The crossclimate2 tire was on the front driver side and usually never is a problem with contact with the curb, these rims have been rotated many times and show curb scuffing. The 4-michelin crossclimate2 rubber is very very soft and should have a protective edge to the tire and harder rubber like the michelin radial mxv. 4 tires, there is no protection as is the case with the radial x. I spoke to michelin help desk twice and only received a directive, talk to your dealer. I purchased these tires from amazon business and had walmart install the tires. I checked the durometer on two of the crossclimate2 tires still on the auto and the durometer reading is not consistent on the rubber hardness, telling me there is a problem in manufacturing and quality control. The 4-michelin crossclimate2 tires are defective in manufacture and design and I would not recommend them 100%. As soon as I saw the slit in the tire I went to a tire dealer who said that the tire could rapture, so I removed the crossclimate2 tire and replaced it with the spare, michelin radial mxv. 4 on August 26, 2022.

All four tires defective and dangerous 1. On February 10, 2020 we purchased four goodyear assurance weatherready tires from riverside garage (19 east Ave. , riverside, 60546 708-447-7221 (see attached receipt) 2. On August 5, 2022 the rear/driver’s side tire went flat in springfield, illinois during a family visit. We were unable to reinflate the tire. Discount tire inspected it and found a 12 inch or greater slit and a 1-1/2 inch slit on the inside wall of the tire (see attached photos). The slits revealed white mesh inner membrane. It was unsafe to use, so discount tire replaced it. 3. On August 7, 2022, while on route back to riverside, illinois from springfield, illinois on interstate 55 we observed a “low tire” light another assurance tires at rear/passenger side tire. 4. On August 8, 2022 riverside garage inspected the rear/passenger tire to find a 1-1/2 inch slit on the inside wall of the tire, which was similarly situated as the other tire. It also revealed an interior mesh membrane similar to the other flat tire. Further inspection of the remaining two tires showed faint “lines” similarly positioned across the inside walls of the remaining front two tires. The tires are preserved at the garage for inspection. 5. On August 10, 2022, the three remaining goodyear assurance weatherready tires were replaced with goodyear eagle tires. It is very likely that all of these tires were dangerously defective on manufacture and that others are probably in us. This incident occurred about 2 years post purchase, meaning that other who bought similar tires will begin to experience blowouts and accident in the same time span. Please take action to protect others from blowouts on these defective tires.

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2006 Lexus 430, including 2 additional warranties, from Lexus chandler in may 2009 upon which I experience an inability to start and unlock the steering wheel eight times within the first two months and intermittently months after. If I sit for an hour the system will unlock itself and will start. Dealer refuses to involve itself and claims it is unable to repair. I took to another dealer which stated they could disconnect the anti-lock mechanism but then the car would not have any security functions. I have contacted the state attorney generals office which they have contacted the dealer but no resolution has been provided at this time. I have written a letter to my senator, john mccain, about the issue and am waiting a response. I feel this is a safety concern since it leaves me stranded. Updated 04/09/10. The consumer also stated the vehicle needed a new battery and tires. Updated 09/21/10.

All four tires were worn out and air was keep out continuously starting around 25,000 miles. Couldn't find the reason until almost 30,000 miles even took a look several times. Finally I found all four tires got severe wear on inside tread which exposed wire thread. The fact I'd like to complaint is we,consumer can not easy to find out those problem until either tire flat completely or blow out while driving or until lift-up in service shop or until we have tragedy accident. I complained to Lexus to inspect for public safety but they saying that they can reimburse for the price of 2 pairs instead of physical inspection. But my intention is not on reimbursement but prevent possible accident because I hear similar case on same model Ls460 of my brother,friend. I replaced all four tires with another brand and keeping all four old tires until the problem is found.

On 9/6/2007 I had a flat tire. I took it to the tire place, I bought a new tire that they installed. As I drove away I heard a clicking sound and I went back to the store. Two studs were backed up a little and loosened the nuts. On 11/23/2007 I had to replace two tires. I tightened the studs. I drove several hundred miles and then on 11/29/2007 I was on the freeway and suddenly the car was shaking and hard to control. I reduced speed and pulled onto the shoulder. I called for a tow truck and towed the car to the Lexus dealer. All the nuts were broken on the drivers side rear tire. When the tow truck delivered the car, there were three nuts on the ground from my car. The Lexus dealer replaced nuts, springs, hub and bearing assembly, disc pad pin, disc cylinder assy. Disc brake pad kit, flage bolt, park lever sub-assy. I have all parts that were replaced.
