This particular model 2009 Lexus Ls460 apparently has an issue with the abs system module (abs brake pump actuator) and when it fails it is like a domino effect not to mention having to reprogram the cars whole computer system all over again, I researched this issue and found that the issue is rampant with this year and model, not only is it expensive to fix (4k) the part alone is over 1k. If the system was to fail while driving it would pose a significant danger to myself and others as I would not be able to brake, or if I drive in wet weather the system could fail on me again. Everyone that owns this model has the same issue. Once it happens it is said that it will happen every 30000 miles or so. I bought the car in 2024; I hadn't even had it a year before the system failed and I have not been able to drive the car since March 2025. I think issues involving the cars abs should automatically be a recall. Now I feel like I am stuck with a car payment for a car I can't even drive because the brake system failed, and will continue to fail over and over, even if I could drive it I would be scared to. If the car senses and accident or spinout and the abs fails and locks up that's dangerous. I can't afford to fix this issue multiple times no one should have to go through this when buying a car as luxury and expensive as Lexus is. The car is too old for the lemon law but I bought a lemon, as big as this issue is this should have been a recall. Please help. . .

In March installed 4 brand new dunlops in my car after driving 13k miles started feeling a shake in the steering wheel the retailer kept rotating and balancing the tire and the issue was still there called dunlop to let them know the issue and called corporate of the retailer after doing the diagnosis they told me that 2 tires are defective and they will replace the tire after that the issue is still there I have been trying to reach to dunlop tires corporate and have been unsuccessful all times gave the gave car to Lexus dealer to diagnose the issue after a road force was performs one of the 2 tires replaced turned out to still be defective and the retailer americas tire in California replaced all 4 tires on my car but the issue is still there I have been trying to reach the americas tire district manager and also have been unsuccessful and they refuse to take responsibility along with dunlop that the tire s all still defective I am running out of options and am getting frustrated as they are blaming each. I am getting the steering wheel shake on the freeway and I have done several test drives with the Lexus foreman and the americas tire branch manager who installed the tires on my car. Can provide documentation upon request.

Apeal against the recall done by Lexus Toyota on may 16th, 2019, I took my car Lexus 2018 Ls 500 to the dealer, Lexus of woodland hills, where I bought it, for being recalled by the company. (NHTSA recall no. 19v-134) after recall defects were fixed, I drove about 4,000 miles and took the car back to the dealer for maintenance. At this time, tremendous number of deep large scrapes on all four tires, which I had never seen in the entire driving experience of my life were pointed out by the dealer. The dealer violently insisted on the scrapes were not caused by the defects. After tremendous argument, the dealer wrote, diagnostics is required to determine the recommended correction for your concern. the car also has stability problem. From the beginning, it lacks stability compared with Ls460 traded-in. I visited Lexus of glendale, santa monica, and thousand oaks. They were surprised at condition of scrapes, but they withheld comment. I had no choice, but to appeal to Lexus of Toyota. I contacted; <date> <contacted to the person of. . > <by > 10/02/19 Toyota customer service rep. At Lexus of beverly hills. 11/11/19 Lexus executive office email their response was very negative and gave me hardest time to appeal. I believe that I have a right for safety standard guaranteed and decided to appeal.
I am filing this complaint today with Lexus corporation because both my dealership, new country Lexus of latham, and Lexus corporation have chosen to ignore the danger they have placed myself and my family. I have purchased three Lexus over the years from new country Lexus and am very disappointed in the service from both my dealer and Lexus corporation. I am disappointed that new country and Lexus corporation would put me and my family at risk of injury and/or death. Particularly in light of the fact that I have reached out twice to my dealership and three times to Lexus corporation. Therefore, I am documenting my concerns in the event of a serious injury or death occurring in which I will hold both Lexus corporation and new country Lexus responsible. On February 26, 2019 a safety recall was announced regarding certain run-flat tires which included my new vehicle, 2018 Ls 500. I did not receive this recall notice until Friday March 29, 2019. The previous week, on March 24th, I was on my way to kennedy airport in new york city and had a blow-out crossing the george washington bridge. The side wall of my front driver side tire had blown out (picture attached). This almost caused me to veer into traffic which I fortunately was able to avoid. I was eventually towed to a 24hr tire repair station where a replacement tire was put on the vehicle. The towing charge and new tire cost me $400 which Lexus has refunded me a check for $400. To this day I continue to be told the tires are on back order and I am still driving on defective tires. It has been nearly 6 months.
In the last 30 days the chrome on the inside of 2 wheels where the tires bead seals has shown to be defective and the tires will not hold air. I am afraid of the tires bead that seals against this part of the rim losing air at a high rate when driving at highway speeds or, going around a curve. So far the flats have accrued once in the garage and the other at a slow speed. I would guess the 2 remaining wheels are suffering the same defect and will show up soon. The chrome wheels came with the car and are a Lexus product. Not a after market wheel. I have owned the car sense new. I can not find any recall or, mention of this problem. The repair shop said this is fairly common whit chrome wheels. The repair shop ground the bad spots down and put a sealer on the rim. They would not say how long it would last. I would think anything to do with wheels or, tires would be of great concern.
