One problem related to gas recirculation valve (egr valve) has been reported for the 2007 Lexus LS460. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
This model hesitates in changing (hunting) gears on hard accelerations. Three times I have been in near accidents on merging into freeways, changing lanes from a straight path or from corner turns. The car responds very slow on hard acceleration. The web is full of similar incidents with this model car. I suspect it has something to do with Lexus' eight speed transmission and how their software is integrated with the powertrain. Lexus had a "fix" for this problem but did not quite fix it completely and they insist the car is working as designed. . Read more...
