1 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2021

The contact owns a 2008 Lexus Ls460. The contact stated that a day after purchasing the vehicle, he noticed that there were cracks on the instrument panel near the radio, and between the dashboard and passenger’s and driver’s side doors. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic nor dealer. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2019

My dash panel and door handles are melting in the sun. The dash panel is especially problematic as it is extruding a shiny clear tar like substance that causes a significant glare visibility problem while driving into the sun, causing me to nearly miss another vehicle turning in front of me at an intersection.

3 Body problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2016

The trunk opening lid melted.

4 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/04/2006

As I was driving into my home garage, my car suddenly accelerated on its own and eventually crashed in the back wall of the garage. Depressing the brakes failed to stop the vehicle before crashing. Prior to the crashing incident, the unintended acceleration happened at least two other times but the vehicle eventually stopped before an impact. Around the end of March 2014, my brake lights came on and I then took the car to Toyota for repairs. Thereafter, I reported the crash incident to Lexus who then had the vehicle inspected on April 9, 2014. The Toyota eaa inspector sent me a memory stick with the edr data (crash data) from my vehicle but would not provide an analysis or interpretation of the data and subsequently denied my claim for the damage incurred to my car.
