Lexus already has a recall for the fuel pump on the Ls460 vehicles, but it only covers up to 2015. I have a 2017 Lexus LS that I believe has the same part number of the faulty fuel pumps that are included in the recall. If it has the same part number, it should be included in the current recall. The fuel pump was installed into my vehicle before the recall was announced, so it should be included.

After having the fuel pressure sensor gasket changed for the recall, I have had a strong fuel smell in the cabin. Taken to the dealer, spent nine weeks looking for the leak. They said they couldn't find it, but wanted me to pay $840 for gasket kit, but would not guarantee that it would fix it, next step would be to pull the engine at my expense. . . ? fire hazard !.
I started to smell a strong fuel smell at startup inside and outside of the car. Then the fuel smell dissipate after driven.
The vehicle almost caused my elderly parents to get into an accident. The power to the vehicle is lost. The gas pedal would not accelerate and the steering wheel pulled the vehicle to one direction. The car was in motion when the light came on "check vsc" system. Lexus has had a problem with the fuel injectors and sensors before on these vehicles. On ours a recall was said to be needed for the sensor but instead the sensor was just wiped and cleaned and a cover on it was changed. Currently vehicle does not move more then 3mph and occasionally vehicle also shuts off. All lights are lit up on car.

Purchased a 2007 Lexus Ls460 on March 5th, got a prepurchase inspection and there are multiple things that have gone wrong. The latest repair needed is the fuel pressure sensor, costs approx $1525 at the dealer. I contacted Lexus to see if this would be part of the recall and case manager amanda deantonio stated that based on the miles, age and my service history, loyalty to Lexus, they can not assist me with getting this repair done. I am awaiting a supervisor to call me back regarding the repair that I believe should be covered under the "fuel pressure sensor" leak, elf campaign. On may 15, 2015, the gasket was replaced and the fuel pressure sensor sealing surface was repaired. I am now looking at a safety issue with this vehicle I purchased due the fuel pressure sensor shorting out my ecm, which has caused my car not to start. I am asking Lexus to replace this part at no charge due to the faulty part. Consequently, the fuel pressure sensor is installed where the plating material on the gasket seating surface is.

After an oil change at the dealer, the car is unable to accelerate, sluggish, and the powertrain acts lethargic, particularly when trying to enter the freeway or merge into traffic. The dealer has performed a software update, however the problem still persists. This only happened after and oil change. Several other Ls460 owners I know complain about the same phenomenon. Lexus has no answer.
