Brake actuator failure is a known issue by Lexus and Lexus says they will not replace mine. Its a safety issue and should been a recall instead of 'warranty enhancement' with limitations to get Lexus out of fixing something they know is faulty and a safety issue.
The contact owns a 2008 Lexus Ls460. The contact was driving various speeds and noticed the tire pressure indicator alerted there was low tire pressure. The vehicle was taken to an independent auto shop who stated both front chrome wheels were peeling and cracking internally due to moisture. The technician sprayed an adhesive on both tires and rims which was a temporary repair for the air that was leaking from the rim. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000. Updated 12/31/12 updated 1/7/2013.
The front windows have a serious wind noise issue in all earlier LS model( that's what the dealer told me) upgrades have been done to it by the dealer & the problem still exists. 2 other upgrades could be done but they'll reduce the wind noise by 15% & can't be eliminated! the design has a problem. Many people have complained about it on many websites like edmonds,. . . The wind noise is very annoying & distracting. Another problem with all these cars is the wheels that chip & plating comes off of them after a while.
