Lexus LS460 owners have reported 4 problems related to suspension (under the suspension category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
This vehicle seems like it was damaged from the start. Ever since this car was purchased from prestige Lexus NJ, it's just been giving us problems all the time. It seems like this car was factory damaged, or the dealership rewinded the mileage on the car because a car at 30,000 miles shouldn't have problems constantly. We payed a lot for the car and plus extra 2. 000$ for warranty doesn't help at all, these company's just want money, they never help. We drive this car very cautiously and once we were driving on the highway and our air compressor broke and our car stopped in th middle of the highway and we had a tow truck take it to Lexus. Many time this car gives us problems, the rotors we had to change our selfs, we had warranty but didn't help at all they dealerships just took more and more cash from us. The suspension then broke, then the axle links after that the car has problems driving it shakes side to side. There was always this one problem where you would have the headlights off the gas pedal was delayed, when you pushed on it the car took like 4-5 sec to actually drive( we still have that issue) we take our car to the dealer but they never actually fix it, after we leave the next day there is another issue and it's constantly it's very annoying ! this car is 100% either factor damaged or the dealer is hiding something point blank. We just want the dealer to take the car back and give us a new Lexus Ls460l that's not damaged or messed around by the dealer so we can feel safe and not worry about the car when we drive it, because we don't know what's next the ac doesn't work nothing works it's factory damaged 100%. Please help us and give us a new car that's not factory damaged or messed around with the dealer. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2008 Lexus Ls460. The contact stated that the upper support bushing failed and caused the tire tread to separate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who repaired the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 47,000 and the current mileage was 47,500.

Multiple failures of air suspension struts. My first was on 9/11 at 50k mile, but 3 months out of warranty. Now, within 30 days is a second failure. Lexus did offer and I did accept on the first that I pay $500 for the part and the would provide labor. Now with the second failure at 30 days on the left rear(first failure was the right rear), I began investigating owners forums, etc. This is a very common and major defect in the Lexus air suspension models. Numerous complaints and multiple failures from 12k miles up on forums. Lexus again offered to provide labor if I would again pay another $500 for part. Lexus by now knows this is a major defect as there are numerous complaints and they readily offer to everybody the same "Lexus participation" offer. This must be deemed a recall as it does involve suspension and ultimately causes unstable cornering. Lexus being able to pass this serious design defect on to the owners is not only deplorable, but should be stopped by your agency. I would appreciate a report with the number complaints filed with this safety problem as my next course of action will be a legal filing. Thank you for any efforts.

I took my 2007 Lexus Ls460 into Lexus of reno for it's 15k mile service on 11. 12. 08. During that service the dealer reported the tires in good condition with 8/32 of tread remaining. On 9. 30. 09 I returned to Lexus of reno for my 20k mile service. I was told that my tires were worn to the cords and that the left rear tread was separating from the tire body. They advised me the tires are very dangerous and I should not drive on them. They reported the tires are now at 0/32 of tread remaining although just looking at the tires the tread seemed to be more than adequate. I was told I did "something" to the vehicle to cause all four wheels to become misaligned. I took the vehicle to a local tire dealer and had all four tires replaced and the vehicle aligned. I did not keep the old tires as I concluded the problem was with the vehicle and not the tires. I do not drive this car hard. If I had done something horrendous enough to cause all four tires to become misaligned I would remember it. I can recall nothing that would have caused such damage. Therefore, there may be something wrong with the vehicle.
