The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, the traction control warning light illuminated and the steering wheel would veer to the left and right. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 203,000.
