There are multiple recalls on my vehicle and I am experiencing all of the recalls inverter failer vehicle stalls out alot. Crank shaft pulley is leaking oil and belt from the power steering maybe detached causing vehicle to stall. Inverter assembly causing the vehicle to stall and become non drivable. Floor carpet cover and retention clips. And my brake master cylinder leaking fluid causing major break problems. Every item I mentioned is recalls for the vehicle I have.

The contact owns a 2024 Lexus Rx 350h. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, several unknown warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the door latches locked independently, and the contact and wife were locked inside the vehicle for several hours. The contact eventually remembered to pull the mechanical door latch and exited the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with battery failure. The contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 17,500.

From what I have been reading on that year and model, there seems to be major issues with the invertors. Like many I was driving on the highway and the vehicle just quits. This put me and many others in a very dangerous situation and I could have been hit at high rates of speed. If as many people are having these issues, then Lexus needs to step up and recall this part before someone gets killed.

When I start to coast to come to a stop the engine will rev, even though the energy flow screen shows the gas engine is disengaged and running only on ev. The engine will rev, even with me using the brake. But the ev light is off and the rpms are rising. Eventually the ev light will come on and the gas engine will cut off and the vehicle will switch to ev mode. My mpg has dropped to 36. 2, so something is not right. When I was at the dealer for my 10k service, they told me this was the car "shedding" the extra energy, but the battery was not fully charged, so I'm perplexed and frustrated.

Battery has "sulfated" twice in 15 months of ownership. Lexus/dealer have replaced battery two times. Considered safety issue since battery could "die" at any time. Could be locked out of car with infant inside or if battery dies while driving, car could become immobile.

The power steering and hybrid system failed and vehicle completely stopped in middle of busy freeway with no prior warnings or issues before. The safety of my son and I, and others around me during the abrupt stop of the engine. I could not move out of way. The vehicle has been serviced for this exact issue during a recall campaign lasting from 2011 to 2014. Ten years later and it is still happening! there were no warning lamps or messages or symptoms prior to this failure. It just passed vehicle inspections for the year.

Brand new vehicle- 12volt battery failed after 5 weeks. Lexus initially stated battery fine. Then battery failed while in their possession- Lexus replaced battery. Few weeks later battery failed again. Lexus tested & replaced battery for second time - but battery kept draining & they were unable to repair after having vehicle at dealership for 3. 5 months.

For some unknown reason the car will suddenly display multiple warning lights, check engine, service needed, traction control off/inactive then the car will go into reduced engine power mode which prevents acceleration and causes the car to feel like it’s going to stall or shut off. This has happened several times on major high speed highways causing other cars to slam on their breaks, drive recklessly to avoid my failing car. My daughter has been in the car several times when this happened and it took everything in my power to not collide with another vehicle. We have taken the car to the Lexus dealership every time and they have tried to fix the car over a dozen times but it keeps happening. They don’t seem to know the issue or cause, trying several different solutions. How can a car manufacturer not know what is wrong with their own car not how to fix it? what am I supposed to do, just keep driving it and pray an accident never happens? there is no warning when this happens and no way to keep the car from swiftly decelerating or keep the car from using “minimal engine power” which I’m to,d is to protect the engine but I’m more worried about us. Warning lights triggered snd certain electrical vehicle functions affected. Lexus plano dealer states that wiring is soy based and destroyed by rodents attracted to the wiring and chewing it with result that critical vehicle functions affected and lights, brakes, etc. May not work resulting in crash. Wanted more than $10,000 to rewire vehicle and refused to make repairs under vehicles’ warranty. Apparently common knowledge that Toyota and Lexus are using soy wiring that attract rodents and other animals to eat the wiring. I believe that crashes may be occurring because of chewed through soy wiring and misdiagnosed as driver error, brake, failure, fires, lights out, or other causes because no one is investigating wiring that caused crash. Wiring should be recalled as it poses death, injury, and property damage risks with manufacturers and dealers knowing of the defective wiring and of the risks but intentionally hiding the information, failing to warn, and then making huge profits from the expensive over-priced repairs that are unnecessary if proper wiring is used. We have dealer invoices and repair estimates snd other communications.

I was in the Toyota advantage dealer in barbousville wv to see why my park assist after replaced are stating there still out per Toyota I need a wire harness that’s on back, back, back order now that’s two critical items my car needs and I’m in a new place where I need gps to work and no one has any ideal when the parts will be available for the wire harness nor the air bag well per Lexus just wait that does not work for me.

Mileage 3445, vehicle age 3. 5 months. Car located in home garage with doors unlocked. Car locked itself making entry impossible. All systems refused to open with “clicker” or mechanical key. Possibly battery issue. Four (4) different tow truck drivers over 4 days could not gain entry. Safety hazard as a child or disabled person could have been locked inside. Tow driver could not “pop” the door lock. Despite pulling up on the inside handle, the door would not open. Towed to dealer. Thus far dealer has no solution. Dealer said they are contacting Lexus. No warning lights, etc. Vehicle is a plug-in hybrid. Drive battery was at 100%.

The car started showing multiple error messages on the dash and then shut off while in operation, it would not restart without a service call and battery boost. This has happened multiple times. Online research shows this is a common issue with the hybrid models - the 12v battery doesn't get adequately charged, voltage drops and car ceases to work - even while mid drive on the road, this is extremely scary and dangerous.

The contact owns a 2011 Lexus Rx350. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph the front driver seat heater was activated and moments later smoke and flames were present coming from the center console of the vehicle. After stopping and exiting the vehicle the fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. During the incident the vehicle was destroyed and later towed away. No injuries were reported and no police or fire report were taken. The cause of the fire was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted regarding the incident. The failure mileage was 150,000.

I’ve approximately the last 45 thousand miles, Lexus dealers have replaced the brake actuator and other components of the brake system on this vehicle at least 6 times due to noise issues. Lexus has stated that this is not a safety issue, I have an open ticket with Lexus, but yesterday I had to slam on the brakes and did not get nearly the response that should have come right away. There are no warning lights, as far as I can tell the traction control didn’t engage, and eventually the car suddenly started breaking much harder, but it was very delayed l, and disproportionate with any additional force applied. Lexus knows the brake system is an issue in this model to the point where they are covering the system for 10 years or 150,000 miles, but to say that it isn’t a safety issue seems short-sighted. This system works in conjunction with the radar sensors adaptive cruise control, and I’ve had. This car has also had a number of seeming electrical issues, with every door lock actuator replaced at least once, some of them more than once, and the infotainment system shuts down and reboots randomly or freezes.

The failure mileage was 1,500. The VIN was not available.

Wireless charger caused iphone 12 to overheat. Picked phone up from charger before it became to hot to handle. Dealership admits issue, "there has been a significant improvement in wireless charging in our cars over the past couple of years. The wireless charging on our earlier models do have connectivity issues and sometimes may even overheat, especially in iphone. This is a known issue with no resolution currently, unfortunately. I hope this helps. " if the dealership recognizes an issue with overheating, I suggest a recall before the charger or phone starts a fire.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Lexus of santa fe (6824 cerrillos rd, santa fe, nm 87507) who were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the failure persisted. While the contact’s wife was driving and was idling at a stop light, the vehicle lunged forward aggressively. The contact’s wife turned off the vehicle to avoid lunging forward and crashing with oncoming vehicles at the intersection. The vehicle was returned to the first dealer, Lexus of albuquerque (4821 pan american fwy, albuquerque, nm 87109) who was able to duplicate the failure and stated that the failure might be caused by a software failure. The dealer could not confirm but had assumed that the software update might prevent the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and might be preparing a software update to solve the issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 5,000.

The car started giving warnings as follows in the middle of the highway on February 22nd 2024, at 10 am 3 hours away from chicago in order 1- hybrid malfunction, 2- changing from 4 wheel to 2 wheel 3- emergency stop vehicle and the car was full of the smell of burning I immediately turned off the car and called Lexus roadside and towed off the vehicle to the Lexus dealership in naperville, IL. Later learnt that filter box had caught fire and also burnt cables leading from it to the engine.

I am writing to you regarding the vehicle safety which I became aware of  recently but there was no solution provided. If this happened to me, it can happen to anyone driving the same model and needs to be addressed as soon as possible before the fatality occurs as this is danger to the public. I was driving a vehicle on [xxx] after just picking it up from service (serviced at ray catena Lexus on [xxx] for 15,000 miles service and oil change) at the rate of speed approximately 65 mph. All of sudden the vehicle started making noises, transmission shifted from auto to lower manual gear and I was barely able to keep control of the vehicle. Luckily, I was able to pull over safely, turned it off, gave it some break and turned back on. Vehicle seemed to be operational and since I was close to the amtrak train in washington DC, I have decided to take the train as intended to florida along with a vehicle. Upon arrival in florida, I was able to take the vehicle to the dealership jm Lexus on [xxx]. I explained the problem and they checked the vehicle and released it to me shortly saying that there was nothing wrong. This dealership charged me $141. 92. As I just left the dealership and got on the highway, the vehicle started to act up again. I was only able to take it back to the same dealership on [xxx], the mechanics did another check on the vehicle and discovered that the spiral cable had an oily residue on it and that was the reason for the electronic issue I was having, but that cable was not covered by the warranty and I was quoted $1,800. 00 to get it fixed. Which is odd considering that not only did I buy out of this vehicle a few weeks prior but the vehicle was just serviced on [xxx] (with odometer reading at 12,728 miles)  never giving any issues prior. After having a back and forth conversation, they dropped the price to nearly $1,000. 00 but being concerned for my and my spouses safety, I had no choice but to pay.   information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. While vehicle was being driven into the garage the vehicle suddenly accelerated on it own without driver pushing on gas pedal. Vehicles automatic emergency braking did not engage. Vehicle then struck steel shelving and wooden cupboards causing considerable damage to vehicle. The body shop where the vehicle was taken for repair experienced the same surging phenomena when they moved the vehicle. There were no system warning lamps visible prior to the episode. The vehicle has not been inspected by Lexus.

My 2020 Lexus Rx 350 navigation and multimedia screen turns blank/black when headlights are on. The vehicle is available for inspection. When the car is put in reverse, the ability to see the safety back up view or any other peripheral safety monitoring views are gone. There were no warning messages prior to the failure. Lexus dealership was able to confirm the malfunction and performed a reset, which did not correct the malfunction. The federally mandated backup camera system is no longer functioning.

Dear manager: I have this 2006 Lexus Rx400h which has check vsc system and check hybrid system problems. When I was driving on the highway, the cruise control button is unable to turn on, when at speed of 65 mph it will suddenly stall in the middle of the road and the ready light will be off and the vehicle has to be stopped by the emergency lane which is really dangerous. I have searched online and found out there were many complains about this issue and Lexus issued a recall for this type of car and the dealer can change the inverter and icm free of charge. Hvac servo motor failure. There are many complaints on internet if you google. Multiple other Lexus models have csps regarding same problem too. .

On Saturday July 15, 2023, at between about 8:00 and 8:30 a. M. Cdst the vehicle was parked overnight in a garage, spontaneously caught fire and burned and was a total loss. There was a smell I would associate with an electrical fire. People reported hearing a car alarm and a "popping sound" before the fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and had the car towed out of the garage of a condominium association. Fire damage to property (except the subject car) was minimal but there was extensive smoke. In my opinion based on this incident, electric/hybrid cars should not be parked indoors.

I was driving my 2011 Lexus Rx 350 on July 7, 2023, to a swimming pool. I was pulling into a parking spot just rolling to a stop with my foot on the brake. The car suddenly accelerated with grate speed and ran on the curb of the sidewalk forward to a small rock wall, I immediately turned the vehicle to the right and pressed down on the brakes, but the vehicle kept moving about 45 feet and came to a stop after crushing another two vehicles in the parking lot. These two vehicles were destroyed and not repairable according to the insurance company. For my car the right front side was crushed and both airbags on the drive side deployed, and my chest and legs were injured by the airbags. The biggest injury was my mental injury which made me unable to return to normal life.

I am financing a 2006 Lexus Rx400h hybrid and the other day I went out to start it up and the light and everything came on but would not display ready and would not start. Check hybrid system with red triangle was on dash display along with several other warning lights, also when I put the key in the ignition it will release in the acc position. Where I am purchasing the vehicle will not fix it saying my VIN is not part of the recall list and the Lexus dealership to me it was to late to have the recalled parts replaced for free. Hello, I had this issue on my Lexus Rx400h recently, and it was diagnosed and repaired by a third party auto repair shop at my expense. It is possible that the hybrid system will shut down while the vehicle is being driven, causing the vehicle to stall unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash. Recall summary Toyota is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 highlander hybrid and Lexus Rx400h passenger cars manufactured from February 16, 2005, through August 30, 2006. A module inside the inverter module may contain inadequately soldered transistors that during high-load driving, may be damaged by heat caused by the large current. If this occurs, various warning lamps, including the malfunction indicator lamp, slip indicator light, brake system warning light, and master warning light, will be illuminated on the instrument panel. Recall solution Toyota/Lexus mailed an interim owner notification on July 19, 2011 to advise owners of this recall and the fact that they will receive a future notice when parts become available to complete repairs. Toyota dealers will inspect the hybrid inverter production number to determine whether the inverter contains suspect transistors and replace the module free of charge. The vehicle sustained water damage due to hurricane ida in September 2021 and was repaired at the dealership. In February 2023, the battery needed replacing for a third time since then and I was told that the front and rear carpeting was soaking wet, again, and it was due to the moonroof rails being clogged. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being assessed and repairs should be borne by the dealer/manufacturer; not the consumer. If this is specific to my vehicle only, then I have a lemon. If it has happened to others, then it should be recalled.

This vehicle seems to have a well-documented problem with water intrusion that damages the ecu and hybrid battery. The 2006 and 2007 Rx400h has the hv battery located under the seat, which is the low spot in the rear section of the car. If water is spilled or the body has a water leak, the water will pool at the center of the battery. Lexus considered this, and added a drain under the battery, but the drain has a filter, presumably to keep insects out, and the filter is easily clogged. This, coupled with a pattern problem of split body seams near the rear hatch strut mount causing a water leak in the rear of the car, has created isolation faults in many of the Rx400h suvs. The condition presents as warnings on the instrument cluster and a no-start condition where the vehicle is inoperable. A search for "Lexus ecu water intrusion" brings up my vehicle's exact model and year so this is well-documented.

Hi, I purchased a brand new 2022 Lexus Rx350 from hendrick Lexus of charleston SC. Since day one I had dangerous issues below: 1. The transmission shifts up and down so hard, I've almost gotten rear ended due to the car and not braking. This I was told by two separate Lexus dealers I'm feeling a hard "transmission gap"-whatever that means. To add fuel to this dangerous defect is my autistic son would need to be specially medicated to ride in the car b/c he panics and tries to jump out. 2. The car also is equipped with a "rear kick sensor" that never worked, the service manager in charleston kicked my bumper and swore at the car. I had another service tech on video for minutes unable to open it. 3. The car, scarily, will not start on me or recognize the key. I've been 3 hrs from home and nearly stuck in a grocery store parking lot with my autistic son freaking out again. This is documented on video. 4. As if there could even be more, the car is equipped with rear collision warning. An example of this, is backing up in a grocery store parking lot and it senses someone walking and auto stops the car if I'm not already breaking. Well, last sept I was moving, had my autistic son's anxiety super high, and hit a pod for moving in my driveway doing maybe 2 miles per hour. But, and the big but is why did the pre-collision not kick in. This little bump cost insurance over $15k and yet hendricks is saying its not the car! the mysognostic behavior I've been privy beyond demeaning and offensive. 5. The big kicker is the car went to hendricks collision as I wanted a certified Lexus dealership to fix it and do my 30k service. They would only do the 30k service, service writer-again another mansplainer didn't capture all my three continuous problems properly, filled the ro out days after I dropped the vehicle last Nov of 2024-yes, a year ago.
