Unexpectedly found steel cable has snapped off & the spare tire was gone like to report this could be a safety issue leading to an accident for fellow driver.

Wheel problem #2

While driving, the front driver's side tire and wheel detached from my vehicle, causing significant damage. My vehicle was last serviced at dealer on September 2024. During this service, significant maintenance and repair work was performed, including machining rotors, wheel alignment, and tire rotation. I am concerned that either a malfunction or an improper connection of the wheel has led to this incident. Since service, I have driven approximately 2,000 miles and have not had the car serviced by any other provider. My driving has been limited to general day-to-day use, with no long road trips or encounters with curbs or potholes. The evening prior to the incident, I noticed minor steering wheel shaking while driving over 60 mph and a slight grinding noise. I decided to make an appointment for service on the next day. Unfortunately, while en route to the service appointment, the entire driver side wheel and tire detached as I was making a right turn to enter the highway.

Wheel problem #4

I bought a car from a private party/dealer only to find out that repairs needed are more than cars worth, then I checked car fax to find out that mileage had been turned back a lot. . This person lists 3-4 cars for sale a week and I can't find any one that wants to help. I know I am stuck with car unfortunately it was for my handicapped son that started college recently and used all his savings for car. I found that this person goes under several names and only location I have is where I bought the car. His home address is unknown at this time. Attempts have been made to contact him where I bought the car but every thing failed and person is still selling cars today. I forgot I was suppose to buy a 2003 but turned out a 2001, if you could direct me to somebody in IL. That can help I would appreciate it. Every one tells me to find a lawyer but all my searching came up zero plus no home address and no help from local law. Been 2 months of digging and searching. Please help.

Wheel problem #5

While driving on a city street, the cable holding the spare tire (spare tire carrier part #51900-0e012) under the car, broke and spare tire and accessories for it fell into street into traffic creating a hazzard.

Wheel problem #6

The chrome in the interior of the wheels bubble and delaminate. This caused the tire to lose pressure slowly, until tire failure occurred. The tire failures rendered the tires irreparable, even if the tire was only 3 months old. So far this has occurred on three of the four wheels supplied by Lexus at the time of purchase. All failures have occurred within 6 months of each other. The Lexus has a low pressure warning indicator, but it has not activated during these times. The tire pressures are regularly checked.

Wheel problem #7

Recently, while driving down the highway, my 2004 Lexus Rx 330 started making a ‘howling” sound (for lack of a better description). Upon hearing this disturbing noise, I immediately drove it right to my local dealership (ira) in peabody, massachusetts. They determined it was the bearing and hub assembly in my left rear wheel. I was told this is a very dangerous condition that must be repaired immediately. This ended up costing me $676. 87 (11/14/14). This isn’t the first time this has happened with this car. It happened March 3, 2011 and it cost me $704. 35 then. I have had at least 6 cars during my driving history and none of them ever had any bearing and/or hub problems and this happens twice with same car??? it is important to note that my previous cars were less expensive cars; brands that may be expected to have more issues than Lexus; Honda’s, pontiac’s, Nissan’s, and chevy’s.
