A shift "lag" may be noted when accelerating from speeds of 10 to 20 mph. A software update for the transmission control module has been released which may correct this concern. Software updates are commonly most effective on newer vehicles. Higher mileage vehicles may exhibit a similar symptom caused by a component failure. However, whenever major transmission repairs are performed the transmission software should be checked and updated as necessary.

Hello, this complaint is not of Lexus vehicle I own. I am filing the compliant about the firestone destination le 2 tires I purchased from local firestone store couple years again. I purchase 5 tires including a full size spare. I did first tire rotation this month at the same store location. This morning while driving on the high way. The brand new spare tire rotated to the rear passenger side had a sudden blow out. I almost lost control of my vehicle. By the time I stopped on the shoulder, on side of the tread was completely separated from the wall. I think the tire has manufacture defect and would like to report to you. In case this is not an isolated problem the manufacture should notify other customers about the problem.

I was in the process of parking my car (going slow) in front of a dry cleaners and suddenly the car just took off and accelerated right through the store front. I have never been so shocked and scared in my life. Due to the force of the car moving so fast, I was not able to reach the brakes to stop the car. Fortunately, no one was hurt, since it was a Sunday and the store was closed. Without much time to think, I told the police that my shoe must have gotten caught on the pedal. However, the more time I have had to think about it, I do not recall my shoe getting caught on the pedal. This was the only thing I could think of at the time. I have read that this has happened before with the Toyota Lexus include the RX 330 model.

Car was parked and a fire broke out underneath the car. Fire department put it out and said there was leakage, but they didn't know what caused it. I had car towed to Lexus dealer in lexington ky.

Backing up my spare tire fell right on the ground I thought I hit someone looks like the cable rotted I was lucky was on my way to go on highway with my grand daughter and if it happened on highway someone could of caused a major accident.

As of 3/18/2016 I purchased an new radiator for a total of $945 at mcgrath Lexus dealership in chicago on division st because the old radiator was leaking. As of 3/31/2017 the new radiator is now leaking and the car would not start because the car was over heating. As of 4/1/2017 the timing belt and water pump for the steering will needs to be replaced. Today 4/1/2017 mcgrath Lexus dealer stated I will cost at least $1200 with labor included for them to repair. After further research on recalls for my 2004 Lexus Rx330 I discovered these required repairs are Lexus deaker recalls. Why would mcgrath Lexus charge me if these are recalls on my Lexus.

I was driving on the 59 freeway 1/20/17, when I heard a loud pop, like a rock hitting the windshield. However there was no damage, so I kept driving. I heard a noise where the sunroof is this morning (1/21), and found that the sunroof was completely shattered. Houston has had a lot of rain and hail the last couple days, but I park in a garage, so my car hasn't been outside.

Not passing smog test. Test result says catalyst not ready.

I was driving in the far right hand lane on Thursday, Dec. 16 at approximately 8:45 pm. I entered I 680s at the bollinger canyon road exit and I was approaching the alcosta blvd exit. I hit something I assume was in the road because I didn't see anything and the item flew up in the air after the impact. I didn't stop, but continued to drive and I heard a whirring sound. I continued to my destination to the hilton garden inn in livermore where I was meeting a friend, who was staying at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel and told my friend what happened, he came to my car to look at the damage. I drove my car to b&s hacienda auto body on old santa rita road and left my car in the parking lot. On Thursday, Dec 17, I drove on I 680s and saw a mangled shovel with a green handle on the shoulder as I was approaching the alcosta blvd exit. Cal trans was doing work on the left side of the highway beyond the alcosta blvd exit the night I hit the item in the road. I believe the shovel I hit was left in the road by a cal trans work crew. I have over $6,000 worth of damage done to my car as a result of hitting what I believe to be a shovel that was left in the road.

Transmission has a hard time selecting a gear between 2nd and 3rd. It starts to go into 3rd gear then jumps out for a second and then slams back into 3rd. Usually when lightly accelerating. Very noticeable. I have taken it into the dealer 4 times and was told I may just need a new transmission!! it only has 108,000 miles on it. I have never heard of this problem with a Lexus! that and the rear differential was diagnosed as bad as well! it's like the entire drive train is garbage!! very very disappointed with Lexus and I hope they will make this right with me. I don't want to be on a trip with my family and it break down on us when I payed for reliability.

This accident was happened by my mother in law at the starbucks parking spot, shoreline, wa. She was driving slow to park the car in the spot and she only pushed the brake to finish the parking. However, the car suddenly sped up and jumped over the parking spot's fence. Then, the car broke the iron pole and hit the coming car along the street over the fence. She said she didn't touch anything and just didn't swich the gear. She was very shocked and startled, also she doesn't want to drive the car anymore. If there haven't had an audden acceleration, the accident wouldn't have happened. That's why our family this could be a sudden acceleration case for 2004 Lexus Rx330.

Unexpected acceleration when entering my driveway at a very low rate of speed (2 mph maybe) when the car suddenly accelerated out of control for about 6 feet. I was standing on the brake pedal & it finally stopped. There was no sign of a problem with the rug bunching up. Had vehicle towed to japanese car care specialist, llc the next day (was afraid to drive it). They could not find anything wrong with it; no warning lights came on, no sign of transmission trouble. We are now driving the car again without incident but it's hard to trust it. Just wanted to put this incident on file with the ntsb in case it should happen again.

I was on my way to work when there was a loud boom and my sun roof exploded - glass went everywhere. I am lucky that I was not in an accident. It turns out the sun roof exploded. It was not a hot day some clouds and there was no rocks or debrie in the roof. It turns out that Lexus an other manufactures know of this problem but little is being done about it. The glass is being made a lot cheaper and thinner these days to cut cost. I have a 2004 Lexus RX 330 SUV. This should be covered by the manufacture and a recall needs to be made as it is a know issue before people get killed.

While driving on the highway there was a startlingly loud noise from the back, upper left part of the car. After reaching our destination we realized the top molding on the quarter rear driver-side window had ripped off the car while driving at normal highway speeds. This appears to be a common design flaw, based on Lexus chats. This should be a manufacturer covered defect even if the vehicle is no longer under warranty. This could be a serious danger if those hit someone or something.

My 2004 Lexus Rx330 has horrible paint issues on the front bumper. Paint started chipping off in huge sections and it looks terrible. This has only happened on the front bumper and the rear view mirrors. Seems like the paint is defective in these area's. So disappointed. Also the transmission is messed up. Seems like it hops in between 1-2 rpm. I even had the transmission rebuilt and it still didn't fix the issue. It still does it. I have heard that this is a major issue with these vehicles.

Dashboard is melting.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Lexus RX 330. The contact stated dash board has melted on the front passengers side. The dash board had become extremely sticky and the plastic has traveled towards the passengers side air bags. The manufacture was notified and offered a remedy of repairing the dash board. The failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 74,000.

The dashboard melted and chemicals are seeping from it. The key was stuck in the ignition and broken when I attempted to remove it.

I own 2 Lexus 2004 Rx330. Both of cars have the passenger mirror change color (change to darker color). One happen about 3 year ago. One happen about a year ago.

I am describing an event that occurs repeatedly among older drivers. They put their turn signal on, and it does not switch off and they don't know it because their hearing ability has diminished. They then make a turn to the opposite direction of what their turn signal indicates and either cause an accident or have a close call.

Dashboard and side door inside panels are melting and chipping off. Sometimes becomes extremely sticky and hot. There is a glare at times when driving during heat of day.

My air vents constantly emit a white powdery substance that collects on the dashboard and within the vents. I have complained to the dealership with concerns of what I am inhaling into my lungs and was told that the calcium coating is coming off of a tube or wire and the calcium then gets blown out of the air vents into the passenger compartment. They also stated that the substance is not harmful if inhaled but I am not sure I believe that. The repair cost would be thousands of dollars because they have to remove my entire dashboard to reach the faulty part. Lexus stated they offered to pay 50% of repair/replacement costs and I do not feel that I should pay a penny as I have done nothing to cause the problem.

Certified Lexus RX 330 developed two separate dash noises within one week after purchase. One of these noise is coming from below the center of the front defrost vent and sounds like a piece of plastic is popping in and out of place. This only occurs when its really cold (below 20 degrees). The other noise is constant and occurs whenever going over a bump. It's coming from the passenger side of the dash by the speaker cover. It sounds like a piece of plastic "clicking" together and is very annoying. The dealer says that the certified warranty does not cover "interior noises". A certified Lexus should not have rattles and noises.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Rx330. The contact stated the front and rear drivers side and passengers side floor mats have a clip that allows the mats to hook onto the floor board. The contact stated each mat has two clips that made it difficult to remove the mat and caused the contact to injure her foot when it was exposed. The clip also made the mat bulky. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Lexus Rx330. The contact received a recall notice regarding the floor mat clips and does not want to make the two hour drive to have the repair performed at Lexus. The contact would like to take his vehicle to a Toyota dealer instead. Lexus stated that the work must be done at a Lexus dealer. There had been no failure to date. The current mileage was 33,000.
