Electronic Stability Control problem #4

I will give you a brief description as to what occurred. I entered our garage for the purpose of backing the Lexus out of the garage so we could load newly purchased patio furniture into the garage. I entered the Lexus, applied the brake peddle to start the automobile. Once the auto was started, keeping my foot on the brake to allow my shifting, I move the shift lever from park to reverse and to my surprise, the car began moving with never removing my foot from the brake. It is a very tight squeeze backing out of our garage so when the car started moving, I pressed more firmly on the brake to slow the progress and there was no response. I pressed on the brake harder and when it kept continuing to not respond, I tried to locate the emergency braking system by pushing with my left foot on the floor trying to engage it. The whole incident lasted only a couple of seconds causing the collision to occur. This was reported to hartford insurance company auto claim # pa0016731644 whose ultimate conclusion was as follows: "upon further investigation we determined. . . . The Toyota motor company to be the responsible party. " my last communication with Toyota motor north America was with carlos garcia in the legal claims department dated February 10th, 2017, copy attached also attached is my correspondence of may 11, 2016 the bottom line is Toyota has not conducted an in-depth investigation of a significant failure in the design/manufacture of their automobile. They are totally relying on hearsay evidence which is third hand and false, hoping this will all go away. I made my automobile available to them as well as myself and others who witnessed the event. This could have been a innocent child that was damaged, rather than another vehicle. I have significant additional information available for you, if requested. Thank you for your concern.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

The car I bought back in 2014. I rarely drive. After carrying out many repairs from 2014 to 2017, the car will run in parallel and feel that it is impossible to control the steering wheel. There is also a problem with the suspension. In March 2017, a one-week overhaul will be carried out.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

The traction light and skid control light comes on even when vehicle is not moving.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

I took my RX 350 for the 80,000 service. My service adviser called me and told me the I had an oil leak in the rack and pinion steering and it must be replaced at the cost of $2600. 00 to $3000. 00. I believe this is a Lexus problem they should take care it.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

I suffered back and neck pain while loading the rear trunk of my Lexus SUV. The remote door continued to close and couldn't be lifted from my body that was stuck between the door and rear truck area. I had to crawl from under the closing door that was crushing my back to prevent additional injuries that could have been fatal. The Lexus hq office was contacted and there is a current case report. The Lexus dealership located in duluth GA fixed the rear door free of charge by placing a sensor to open when an object or person is blocking the door while closing. Others Lexus and Toyota SUV owners have experienced similar problems when told what happened to me. I’m still taking medication for pain caused by the injuries.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

I was driving in the passing lane at about 55 mph. The road was straight and level. The road was covered with a thin coating of slush. While driving the alarm signal began beeping. I took my foot off of the accelerator. The car then began drifting to the left, in the next few seconds the left wheels were 2 feet over the left lane. I tried to get the car back into the lane but the steering did not respond. A few seconds later the car began to drift to the right and rotate to the right. I then applied the brakes but they had little effect. Eventually the car slid off the road to the right stopping about 75 ft off the road, down a 20 foot slope. I believe that the stability control system failed to control the vehicle and did not provide adequate protection in this accident.

Electronic Stability Control problem #10

When driving in snow and ice up hill and turning, the back wheels consistently lose power and my car starts rolling backwards down my driveway. My driveway is steep and when rolling backwards down a right hand turn the car is mostly out of control. There is no way (according to the Lexus dealership) to turn off the system that causes this. (new models do have a cut off). Started in early Dec. And happened most of the winter.
