The hybrid battery failed, power inverter, locking up power steering and my car was not able to operate on the road. I was quoted 7500$ cost. I have read of similar problems occurring. I would like help repairing from Lexus.
Driving on the interstate between 60-70 mph, the car completely shut-off. Lost all power and "check hybrid system" lights came on. Was able to restart the vehicle. Notified and took the vehicle to local Lexus dealer who checked the vehicle and said they can't find anything wrong with it and returned it to me. Same problem again a week later with same results. Lexus continues to say they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle nor can they find any recalls. But car continues to shut down at least once a month.
Hello, I own a 2007 Lexus 400h. On Aug 11, 2015 approximately 10pm the vehicle was traveling on hwy 17 south in myrtle beach SC. The vehicle was sitting at a green light in the turning waiting for on coming traffic. When the traffic cleared my wife proceed to proceed froward with the turn. Once she started her decent the vehicle started blowing coolant out of the front of the vehicle and from the bottom. The vehicle stopped responding leaving her in the middle of the turn. I have looked up online that Lexus recalled 2006 and 2007 Lexus Rx400h vehicles. When I called to talk with them about it they told me that mine was not included. This issues is the same issue that they describe on their website. I am very disappointed in Lexus.

Dear sirs! the car was bought Feb 2009 from ira Lexus in denver MA with 17k miles on it. Now the car has 65k mi. It did die on the street about two weeks ago mechanics did check the car and did write a report, that the problem is due to the manufacturing issue which was a reason for the recall. I have recall info and report, can email. I did not receive the recall notice. The Lexus dealer says that the car should be fixed by them, but need a Lexus approval. The cost is about $10k I did contact Lexus and received a call that they won¿t pay for the repairs. The problem in the car ¿ inverter went bad and the reason for that ¿ a small part inside, which was on the recall. Lexus say that the recall was for a small part and they do not want to pay for the whole thing. And I believe that since I did not receive the recall letters - they should fix the car.
A moment of terror in my Lexus 2008 Rx400h on may 01 I was driving home from work. On busy route 111 in nh. In heavy traffic I lost all power. All the lights on the instrument panel went on. It was almost a multicar pileup. With screeching tires and cars making panic stops it was a wonder that nobody was hurt.
Car just stopped on freeway. Toyota stated was inverter. Called Lexus states no recall or warranty. Paid $10,000. Later in mail got recall letter from Lexus. Called Lexus back who initially stated is covered. Sent in repair paperwork. Lexus then called back and said it was not covered but no longer required to have the recall repaired since this repair complete. Repaired: elk grove Toyota 916-405-8000 part # g92ao-48080 inverter assembly. Recall part by Lexus: inverter assembly. I have all receipts from Toyota as well as recall letter from Lexus. Toyota repair states it is same replacement.
Traveling down the interstate between 75-80 mph, the car completely shut-off. Lost all power and "check hybrid system" lights came on. Was not able to restart the vehicle. It turns out that the inverter on this car was recalled in June 2011 and I was not notified. I took my car in for service in November of 2011 at the dealership where it was purchased, and they did nothing to resolve the problem. Saline kirkland at Lexus of mobile (service manager) said she found out about the problem one week ago.
Noted hvac dust in 2008 Rx400h consistent with Lexus TSB l-sb-0128-11 and a faulty evaporator. This vehicle is not listed in the TSB but this is a common concern and discussion thread in the Lexus owners forum. Some people are reporting respiratory reactions to the dust.
