Going from a stop or accelerating on the high way the car will throw a etc check engine light and wont move over 3-4 miles per hour. Then goes into a very rough idle, until one turns off the car and restarts then drives fine for a few mins the goes right back into the etc engine fail mode. . . . Very dangers if merging onto traffic. Almost been hit several times cause of the problem.

2 Check Engine Light On problem

The contact owns a 2004 Lincoln Ls. While driving 60 mph the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to drive onto the emergency lane and turn the vehicle off. The dealer stated that they could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to another dealer who stated that the coils failed. The coils were repaired at the owners expense. The contact owns a 2004 Lincoln Ls. The contact stated that the check engine light would illuminate and the vehicle would experience difficulty accelerating while driving at various speeds. The failure recurred on an intermittent basis. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, where the catalytic converter was replaced on two occasions. The failure continued to occur. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where various unknown repairs were performed. The failure continued. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. 4 Check Engine Light On problem

The contact owns a 2004 Lincoln Ls. While driving 60 mph, the driver side air bag suddenly deployed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the deployment was due to an impact. The vehicle was not serviced by the dealer and the contact did not notice any differences beforehand. The current and failure mileages were 61,000. Updated 09/10/08 the ac started to blow hot air.
