Headlights problems of the 1996 Lincoln Mark

Five problems related to headlights have been reported for the 1996 Lincoln Mark. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/23/2014

The headlight assembly reflective coating has all clouded and flaked off causing highly unsafe night time driving conditions. This is an extremely common issue with the Mark viii for model years 93-96 with the standard halogen headlamps. Ford motor CO. Is aware and should be responsible for repair / replacement of the affected parts.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2006

I understand that lamps are no longer available for my hid headlights. I am concerned that the vehicle will be unsafe at night when they eventually require replacement.

3 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/31/2000

Chrome side headlight was loose, dealer replaced the lens assembly.

4 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/31/2000

Chrome side headlight was loose, dealer replaced the lens assembly.
