2 Steering problem of the 2006 Lincoln Mark

Failure Date: 12/15/2005

Vehicle has vibration in steering when going about 50 mph and vibration gets worse faster the vehicle is driven. Vehicle has had the vibration from the very first day it was purchased in December of 2005. Was told by the dealsership that vehicle needed tire balancing but that didn't solve the problem. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership about 6 times for the same problem since it was purchased. Dealership replaced two front tires on the Lincoln' recmendation but that didn't not solve the problem. They also replaced drive shaft and transmission and steering dampners. They also did a TSB called indexing tires couple of weeks ago but vibration is still there. I called Lincoln out of fraustration and they told me they will get back to me after they speak with somone from the dealership. I recevied a call from Lincoln and they told me that they have spoken to dealership and there is nothing more to be done to the vehicle because ths is how this type of truck drives. I refuse to accept that a $ 45,000 truck is suppose to drive like this. I have searched this issue in Ford and Lincoln forms and this is wide spread problem across both brands from Ford motor company.

3 Steering problem of the 1998 Lincoln Mark

Failure Date: 12/15/2002

Transmission replaced at 55k miles. Primary symptom was shuddering during overdrive gear shifts. (79k) heater will not work. Unit only blows cold air. Vehicle eats rotors. Rotors need to be turned or replaced at least once a year. Electric steering adjustment won't go up or down. Temporarily fixed by beating on steering wheel.
