Two problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1997 Lincoln Mark Viii. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Power adjustment steering colums act erractically and will adjust by itself while consumer is driving . Dealer cannot duplicate defect, and cannot determine cause. Water pump leaked causing low coolant light to illuminate. Door ajar switch faulty and was replaced.
Steering wheel begins to vibrate at around 50 mph. Ride becomes harsh.
