Air Bag Problems of Lincoln MKC

I have called leith Lincoln in raleigh twice in less than 30 days to report an alert that continues to come through on my Lincoln app about the airbags. The airbag light comes on-on the dashboard even when there is not a passenger in the seat. The restraints indicator lamp warning comes on and remains on for an ample amount of time. The alert on the app states that "your airbag warning is on due to a fault with the passenger airbag detection indicator. " it also tells me to contact the dealer. This is a safety concern for me.

The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. The contact stated that while the wife was driving into an intersection the vehicle crashed into a second vehicle. During the crash the frontend of the vehicle was severely damaged but only the front driver air bag located under the dashboard console had partially deployed. No other airbags in the vehicle deployed to provide protection to the driver. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. During the crash the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failures was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were contact regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.
