. I had 2 lights come on . First one said service advance trac. The second came on that hill assist start . The third no turn signal. I took it immediately to our Ford Lincoln dealer it midland, michigan. They have had it almost 3 weeks . The part supplier said it is out of stock and they have no idea when be in. I asked can you check with another dealership to see if they have one . He said they are out. I put a complaint into Lincoln they gave in a case# 48864183. The driver that took us home said that, usually when the steering module goes out you can't steer the car. I was fortunate to get it to the dealership , very scared seeing I had no turn signals.

4 Steering problem of the 2015 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 01/20/2024

The steering assist warning message came on and power steering failed twice in less than a week's time on my 2015 Lincoln Mkc. It first happened while turning left and later in a parking lot at low speed shortly after I’d started the car. I could have had an accident had someone been behind me. I could not even steer the car into my driveway. Oddly, the problem would go away after turning the car off and restarting a short while later. Nonetheless, it's dangerous. I took it to a Lincoln dealer, and the problem did not resurface during a diagnostic test or test drive - and no malfunction codes came up. So, I was asked if I wanted to come back and get it or they keep it a few more days to see if the issue came back. I went to pick it up, and no sooner than I turned it on to leave the lot, it did it again. They kept the car, but it was end of day so there is no word yet. Other owners of Mkcs, mkts and mkzs are reporting the same problem, with no real fix. They also took this car to the dealer a year ago to address the current recall issue, but they have yet to fix it, saying they do not have the part and would call me when they do.

5 Steering problem of the 2017 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 05/02/2022

First incident: my daughter was in the vehicle in our driveway in March 2022 and was leaving. She came running inside and told me she hit the start button and that the vehicle did not start, but started to roll down the driveway with the steering wheel locked in position. She was stepping on the brakes and the vehicle continued to roll out into the street until it finally stopped when it hit the curb across the street. She stated the brakes did not work. She hit the start button again and the vehicle started and she drove it back into our driveway to tell me about the incident and the loss of brakes and steering. Second incident: 5/9/22, my daughter was parked at the gas station with 2 friends. After putting gas in the car, she hit the start button and the car did not start, but instead started rolling forward with the steering wheel locked and no brakes. She kept pumping the brakes and nothing would stop the car. She started hitting buttons on the dashboard in an attempt to get the vehicle to stop, but it ran into the yellow bollard at the gas station and scraped the entire passenger side of the vehicle. She pressed the start button and held it down for several seconds before that made the vehicle finally stop. Her two friends corroborated that the vehicle would not stop even though she was frantically pressing the brakes. We now have approximately $4,000 worth of damage down the passenger side of the vehicle. My daughter is afraid to drive the vehicle anymore as this is the second time the vehicle failed to start, started moving, the steering wheel was locked, and the brakes did not work to stop the vehicle.

11 Steering problem of the 2015 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 01/04/2016

Hours after I purchased a certified pre-owned 2015 Lincoln Mkc with approximately 19k miles the tire pressure light came on (Friday). I was told the car had a perfect carfax. I also noticed the air vent to the back seat didn't seem to work well. I called the dealership as soon as they re-opened and was told to bring the car in Monday). On Monday morning, as I turned at approx 10mph into a parking lot, halfway through the turn I completely lost the ability to steer causing the car to run straight into a curb. When I say lose steering, it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. As I turned the wheel, the car ceased to respond. I got out to walk around the car and there was no ice or black ice, and it was not slippery to me. Though it felt like minutes in my head, it had to have been a matter of no more than 1-3 seconds. I've been driving for over 15 years and have a perfect driving record. Thankfully my daughter was not in the car and I was turning off a side road at a slow speed or else I wouldn't be alive to write this. The dealership towed the car in for service. I was clearly terrified and shaken up over the incident. The used car manager started off as incredibly sympathetic and over the next few days began speaking down to me, saying there was nothing wrong with the car, that they ran every test and the car is fine regardless of what I experienced. So now, my option is to keep the car or turn it in and lose thousands. I asked for copies diagnostic reports and was told there were none. The dealership has had my car for 2 weeks now. I looked up other recalls and asked if maybe the car stalled and I was just too shaken up to realize- no response I had such wonderful experience with my first Lincoln, I decided buy a second, but after this experience and poor protocol, I can't say that I would purchase another. That is, if I even survive this one.

12 Steering problem of the 2016 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 12/31/1969

As far as everybody did and shut down three times in a major intersections as far as to completely shut off or keep up with the camera activity and it seems to not be able to empower through the cabin or central part of the cabin where the computer is stored when I had my f****** completely turn itself off and ran or red lights just to barely make it to my house and in the car would not start I had various problems with his car and I admit paid thousands at this point to see it keep up with it and I've seen it the under several recalls and just now seeing that my car is reaching some of the max amount that I've ever even been issue. I've never received an email on this car having a recall because I moved a few years ago and although I pick up my mail there I've never received anything from Lincoln or have I had any things in the middle for you guys my main concern is getting this rental car in place while all these updates I haven't paid for are completely addressed immediately and in their entirety no longer putting my life safety and the lives of others at risk around me.
