1 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2018 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 01/01/2025

1st engine failure Dec 2021 due to coolant intrusion and the long block engine needed to be replaced. After the repair I came to look at it & I found, bolts were missing—including from the undercarriage, battery mount, & power steering reservoir, splash guard, inner wheel well shield. Tools (10mm snap-on socket & unidentified loose bolts) were left inside the engine bay. The coolant hose came loose, which your team tried to charge $4,000 to fix, despite it being clearly related to poor installation of the engine. The engine mounts—normally last 10-14 yrs before needing to be replaced—suddenly failed. Wiring harnesses weren’t secured, not informed of new engine warranty coverage being only for 1 yr. 2nd engine failure (Dec 2024): less than 22k miles later, the engine failed again—this time 4 months outside the so-called 1-yr warranty that I was never told about. Now, I’m expected to pay out of pocket for another engine, which would conveniently include a 3-yr warranty this time. Why wasn’t the 1st replacement engine covered under the same terms? purchased with: 45,000 miles 1st engine failed 53,594 miles, coolant hose/engine mount issues: 61,000 miles, 2nd engine failed 84,193 miles if inspection is needed, I have photos. It has been confirmed by northpark Lincoln dealership. It was inspected by the manufacturer and other mechanics, not affiliated with dealership. No warning signs no warning lamps no codes thrown no nothing until the loss of acceleration and torque combined with the amount of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe in the middle of the summer. It was the only notification it was too late by that point the damage has been done. On both occasions, the exact same thing happened no warning lights no check engine lights no mil lights, or codes thrown just simply a huge cloud of dust coming from the tailpipe, and you lose almost all power and acceleration. Symptoms appeared after the damage had been done so no way to tell that something wrong prior.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2016 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 10/23/2023

My 2016 Lincoln Mkc has a recall. Recall was mailed to me and I called closest Lincoln dealership to begin process. Dealership stated part was on back order and I would get a call when it comes in. I called a few weeks later and still no luck. I attempted calling several times with no luck. Fast forward 2-3 months after calling, I’m driving with my son and out of nowhere the car begins to stall while driving and fumes start coming out from air vents. It was an awful and strong smell. As I pulled over the check engine and battery light came on. I had vehicle towed to dealership which they return with a catalytic converter code. I paid to get replaced and get a call that car is good to go, but recall part is still not available. Picked up my vehicle and didn’t make it more than . 5 miles I realized my car is stalling and will not go past 40mph. Take it back, employees look dumbfounded and ask me to leave car and they will get back to me. I get a call a week later stating I need a pigtail connector and all will be fixed. They change it out, I go pick up my car and still same condition. Leave dealership and wait on another call stating it is a whole electrical wire harness which needs to be changed. I am told last week that it would be $1900 to repair! I still do not have my car back and feel as if it is a guessing game at my expense!.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2019 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 10/10/2022

I purchased this vehicle less than 30 days. It had 29,257 miles. From day one, the vehicle came with no heating. When you push for heat, the cold ac blows. The part is in national back order. Secondly, when driving car at 20- 45 miles there is vibration, like a window is down when on a highway, but I'm driving in my neighborhood with all windows up. The vibration is unbearable. Thirdly and most importantly, when I slow to break, the car revs up, as if it won't stop. This is very unsettling. I'm never at ease because of this. This is a newer vehicle. There's a Toyota camry 2011 and a Mitsubishi outlander 2018 outperforming my newer Lincoln Mkc 2019. I'm now afraid to drive the Mkc because of the safety concerns. I just bought the car in October 5, 2022. I've reported this to corporate Lincoln. I don't understand why there hasn't been a recall. I do notice a flood of these vehicles in the market for sale. I'm afraid to drive this vehicle.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2016 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 07/01/2021

Two things are a problem: 1) when adaptive or regular cruise control is set to a particular speed (any speed) and the increase speed (+) button is pressed once or pushed and held, the vehicle increases speed and does not stop unless cruise control is turned off or the brake pedal is pressed. 2) there are multiple problems associated with the sync system (maps no longer work, bluetooth connection is spotty, delays when turning on and off the radio, system stays on after leaving the vehicle).

6 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2015 Lincoln MKC

Failure Date: 09/10/2019

The speedometer does not reflect the correct speed. Generally, the speedometer will show a speed 5mph faster than the actual speed of the vehicle. In motion, highway or city driving.
