During the incident the contact sustained a head contusion which did not require medical treatment. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 100,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Lincoln Mks. After he picked up his vehicle from the dealer, he smelled engine oil burning. He was told that because it was a new vehicle, it was normal. He continued to smell the odor, and then noticed leakage on his garage floor. He looked under the vehicle and saw that there was a fluid leaking onto the exhaust pipe and smoking. He took the vehicle back to the dealership and was told that the dealer did not see anything wrong. He noticed the issue again and took the vehicle back to the dealership where it was confirmed that the transmission fluid was dripping onto the exhaust manifold. At the same time, the rear doors would not open with the remote or the button; it would re-lock before someone could open it. The technician told him that there was a service bulletin for the issue and that they would take care of it. The vehicle was at the dealership at the time of the complaint. The current mileage was approximately 4,200. The failure mileage was approximately 900.
