Brake Master Cylinder problems of the 2008 Lincoln MKX

Driving down the road and went to put on the brakes and the pedal was real hard had to pump and push hard. Was told it could be master cylinder . Was told by a local mechanic he though it was under warrenty as a recall. Dealer ship had no record of such.

The vehicle was able to slow down, but the contact used extreme force to push down on the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The dealer advised him that the master cylinder was leaking which caused the rubber to harden on the brake pedal. The vehicle was repaired for the booster and master cylinder for the front brakes.
