The contact owns a 2016 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with her seat belt fastened, the front driver’s side seat belt loosened upon movement in the seat, without warning. The contact also stated that the seat belt failed to retract while attempting to unbuckle the seat belt. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The seatbelt on the driver side doesn’t work it will not come out cannot clamp on it has been looked at by an independent service technician there were no warning lights came on the service center said the seatbelt and it parts has to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2011 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that while the husband was driving approximately 50 mph a 2nd vehicle crashed into the front passenger side of the vehicle. During the crash the front driver side seat belt failed and did not secure the driver and the driver side air bag did not deploy. The driver sustained a fractured sternum, chest, head, neck and back injuries and was transported to the local hospital. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failures were not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 130,000 .

Seatbelt did not lock, resulting in death of driver. Driver hit a tree head on the seatbelt did not lock causing driver to come up hit the rear view mirror with back of head then land on top of steering wheel.
