The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the camera needed to be replaced by a certified mechanic who was not associated with the dealership. The vehicle was repaired. After the repair, the back over prevention camera displayed the image upside down. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who diagnosed that the camera failed and needed to be replaced again. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
