My car has swollen lug nuts . I was informed of this by a dealer who refused to remove the nuts to rotate the tires . I expressed a concern that I had a flat would the lug wrench remove nuts . I was told probably not. I travel long distances . This possibly means I could be stranded for an extended time due to a known fact. I have replaced the nuts but believe I should have been notified earlier by Lincoln .

Had to replace all lug nuts. They were destroyed when the tire was changed. The mechanic showed me that the lug nut was swollen.
Lug nuts are swollen and almost impossible to remove. I could not change a flat tire. Firestone insisted that I needed to replace the lug nuts. Apparently this is a known Ford/Lincoln problem.

Was told from Ford that the lug nuts are swelling and need replaced at$179! I have had many brands of vehicles and have never heard of this before.
I took automobile in for 4 new tires and the tire shop had to replace 5 lug nuts.
Told by diamond Ford in lancaster CA that my lug nuts need to be replaced at the cost of $225. 00. I have been driving for 60 years and never had to replace lug nuts.
Went to the dealer for oil change & tire rotation. Service department told me they could not do the tire rotation due to the fact they could not remove the lug nuts. They wanted me to buy new lug nuts at a cost of $334. 00. I declined, decided to research on my own to replace. Hopefully I don’t have to worry about a wheel falling off.
Brought vehicle into the dealer for tire rotation service. They said they could not take my wheels off the car because the lug nuts have become swollen. This is a common condition where the chromed metal lug nut covers become separated from the lug nuts and expand such that the lug nut socket no longer fits. This means that I can't remove a wheel to fix a flat on the road which become a real hazard.
My transfer case in my car broke and I just bought this car in August. Is it from the recall?.

I was driving 35 mph on single lane road. All wheel drive off came on and car stopped. Luckily nobody rearended me. Same thing happened to our friend's 2014 Mkx. Turned engine off and drove to dealer. They could not reproduce the error so they could not fix it. Next time it happens it would probably kill me.

I have hankook ventus s1 noble2 245/50r20 tires and vehicle has 19827 miles on them. Couple of month ago they start randomly drop pressure without any visible damage, I pumped them back and continue drive. Yesterday when I came out of store one of tires had 0 pressure. I put spare tire and drove 1/2 mile to belle tire store to fix it. Technician refuse to fix a tire as thread worn beyond repair (for 20000 miles?). I brought tire home and used my air compressor to pump it up and inspect myself - no damage found (no nails or other visual cuts or tears). All other tires had lower pressure as well from 27 to 31 psi. Those hankook tires are terrible and required constant pressure check. 20000 miles only to replace $250 tire is terrible and not save to drive.
Swollen lug nuts. Cannot place socket wrench on lug nut to remove tire per Ford dealer. Vehicle was stationary in for tire rotation at Ford dealership. Will cause issue with flat tire on the road if unable to change flat tire due to swollen lug nuts. Show low Ford in show low arizona is the dealer.

Multiple tire pressure loss with as much as a 25 psi differential . Constant problem.
Upon entering an on-ramp to the thruway, the driver side lower ball joint was completely gone, disabling the vehicle while my wife was accelerating. The wheel came almost completely off the vehicle. I'm not sure where or how the ball joint came off. My infant son was in the back seat, had the vehicle been going thruway speed, this incident could have been deadly.

I purchased my Lincoln Mkx 2013 new from sutton Ford. The tires on the car at the time were pirelli scorpion tires. Within less than year from tire exploded from the side wall while on my way to work. No one was hurt. However, I had to replace the tire. Less than a month later two other tires began to leak with report initially that it was the 20" chrome alloy wheel which was malfunctioning. The remaining four tires and wheels were replaced less than a year later I was called a dealer close to work where I had taken the car for oil change and to report rumbling when I was driving. I received a call from that dealership stating the car was "unsafe to drive" there issue with essentially all the tires with side wall rupture impending on one and remaining three with severe compromise. These tires were less than a year old. I had to have the car towed to a local facility for repair. My extended warrantly only paid for 75 dollars of the tow. Which was 100 dollars for me. I had four new goodyear tires put on the car and drove home that evening . The next morning we awoke to find two of the tires were flat. I had to have a second tow to the repair shop and thetechnician there reported a defect within my wheels.
Takata recall , tire sensor keeps saying low tire pressure even after car in turnt off and restarted after air was put in and tire pressure was checked by a mechanic. Some time after air is put in the tire the light may go off for a few minutes and or hrs then the low tire pressure light comes back on and you can't see your vehicle mileage or anything.

I just bought this car a couple of months ago used. A few weeks ago the low tire pressure light came on. I was told I needed new tires so I bought new tires and the last week the light came on twice. I was just told that I now need to buy new rims because the factory ones are no good. They are peeling and now making the new tires leak air. This isn't money I was expecting to spend. They need to put better rims on the tire so people don't keep having a simple issue if the company would better make them.
Loud grading noise front passage wheel.
Chrome plating on the plastic wheel covers is peeling off.
I live in a northern area where salt is used to deice roadways. I have noticed the chromed aluminum rims are losing the chrome in big strips. I cannot keep air in the tires for more than 3 or 4 days at a time because the chrome around the tire inflaters will not seal correctly. , also the risk of being cut on the degrading chrome when washing rims is very dangerous. Is the chroming process at fault and if so will Ford replace these defective rims/.
Tl -the contact owns a 2007 Lincoln mkz. The contact stated that the rims corroded prematurely and caused the tires to lose air. The dealer cleaned the rims several times; however, the defect was not corrected. The dealer stated that the rims needed to be replaced. The contact also stated that the rims were original equipment. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000 and the current mileage was 75,000. Rk.

Wheels on car are so corroded air will not hold in them lost of air pressure results in tire wear lost control of vehicle unsure braking redoing balance on tires and host of other problems such as wear on shocks and struts vibrating of car causing structure parts to come loose and are fall out of line(hood headlights, front bumper, front fenders front doors ect. )the corrosive wheel are so bad from inside to out that they are a safety issue. This subject should fall up under the perforation warranty(rustcorrosion ).
Brakes activate when turning and I pushing the gas pedal one year after I purchased this car , I noticed the brakes would active when I am making a a right turn. It was either raining or beginning to snow. The car would brake as I was making a turn while I giving it gas to turn. Happened at least 3 times while I was turning on a main road. This could have been a life threatening event. Imagine a car coming at you and your gas pedal is not responding while at the same time your car is braking. A very scary scenario. I took it to the dealer. They said brakes need calibration and that I needed new brakes. I said sure. I asked is that normal for a car to do that when brakes wear out . They said no and tested the & found no issues. I paid for the brake replacements. 3 months go by and the same thing. Took back to dealer and they couldn't duplicate but the brakes were fine. I stressed the problem of moisture( rain & snow) when this occurs. This occurs when I first start driving the car under those conditions. Happens once and then I am fine for the of the drive. This keeps happening to me. I have contacted the Lincoln headquarters & all I hear is take it to the dealer. But no solution. I even found people with similar problems on google and printed them & showed to the dealer. I did not get any help. All I got was that we cant duplicate it. . On June 15, 16 and 17 2014 this problem has occurred 6 different times. I will contracting the dealer soon. This is a very scary situation.
