Tl the contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated while driving 30 mph and coming to a stop light the brake pedal was depressed however, the vehicle would not stop. The contact stated she had to pump the brake pedal several times before the vehicle stopped. The brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the failure was diagnosed as faulty brake pads. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The vehicle was listed in NHTSA campaign number: 19v904000 (service brakes, hydraulic). Neither the local dealer nor the manufacturer were made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 199,000.
