I received a recall notice on my air bag for the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. This defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. . Just last week my air bag light came on and when I received this recall I am worried about the air bag being defective. I called the denver, CO dealer and they tell me they don't have the parts yet. The recall was as of June 2017. I am concerned driving a car with a defective air bag. The denver dealer tells me they don't have the part and the parts are being sent out to high humidity areas first and denver with be last. The denver dealer didn't have a estimated time when they would receive the parts. They said the motor vehicle department would be sending out a notice eventually. Very concerning.

(I don't think this is one of ours) tl-the contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Mkz . The contact received a recall letter from Lincoln regarding air bags. Contact is using vehicle as a family vehicle . Remedy not yet available. Contact took vehicle to veterans Ford in tampa florida and spoke with the service manager the name of brian. 3 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Mkz. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) for the passenger frontal air bag inflator; however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer (Ford Lincoln of ocala) was contacted at 352-732-4800 on two occasions in the fall of 2016 and spring of 2017. The dealer stated that they did not have the recall remedy parts available. The manufacturer stated that the parts for the recall remedy were not made available, and that the contact would receive another letter when they arrive. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

�takata recall�. How long is a person to wait to get the part to correct this air bag issue. . . Current solution is not to use the passenger seat!,, that is fine but for 2 yrs. Didn't buy a car to have everyone ride in back seat. . . Can't we get an estimated date?. . . Recall title: passenger airbag inflator replacement. Nhtsa recall : 16v384. Lincoln recall: 16s26.
