Vehicle stalls while driving down the street and has done this several times, both on city streets and on the highway. The date chosen for when this happened was the last time it happened. The battery will not keep a charge and a certified mechanic has had the car for 2 weeks and can not locate the reason the battery drains completely within 8 hours.

Vehicle stalls/loses power once fuel reaches below half tank of gas. Ford has issued TSB's on this very issue on many of their other engines, but I've been unable to find a TSB for this issue for my vehicle specifically. Here is the TSB for Ford focus's with this issue: Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain 2012-2018 Ford focus vehicles with a 2. 0l gdi or 2. 0l gtdi engine. The canister purge valve (cpv) may malfunction, possibly causing excessive vacuum in fuel vapor management system. TSB # 18s32. When pressure is being released from the gas tank via the fuel door opening, gas sprays out of the opening and goers stuck/hardened to exterior of car.

Car will not start because of electrical computer and when it does start the car stalls when out on the road or highway putting my family or myself at risk of injury or death. I called Lincoln hotline and they refused to pay for the repair after it had already been to a dealership for diagnostic they couldn't figure out what was wrong and said it was fine then went to pick car up and it wouldn't start. When home to get spare key still same problem. I live in the country and all Ford dealerships are far away from me so not convenient to keep running back and forth for a repair they (Ford motor company should have taken care of. Let's be clear they know there is a problem and refuse to fix it. Talked to 2 people @ 1 800-241-3673 and the flat out told me they will not pay for the repair. I've had the car stall in an interesection and on the highway several times . Sometimes I have to turn the key switch 30 40 50 60 times or more to get it to start. The TSB from Ford motor CO. Says that when changing the battery in the 2007 Lincoln Mkz it will cause a problem with the ecm the brain causing the problems I described. I even told them about stalling on the highway and they still refuse to pay for the repair. They did fix my air bad out of warranty but won't fix this . I find this unacceptable and refuse to pay for it out of my own pocket. Can you help please affected cars would be 2007 Lincoln Mkz. Mercury milan and Ford fusion. I'm sure it not an isolated problem. The problem started last year 2018 I don't remember the exact date I will put in the date box below the date Ford motor company/ Lincoln refused to do repair free of charge.

I was driving my vehicle on a highway when the car stalled out. I tried repeatedly to re-start but it kept stalling. The car was towed to a Lincoln dealership near my home and it was determined that the throttle body and pcm had to be replaced which cost me $2128. At the time of the incident, my car had 91,860 miles. I noticed on the Lincoln chat sight that other owners complained about the same problem. I was surprised to learn that this extremely dangerous defect was not under recall. Hoping that the ntsb would further investigate. Thank you.

This vehicle has been in service 14 times in 16 months for various intermittent electrical and sensor problems. It was purchased new in June 2015 and currently has 14k miles. It has several major issues but the two safety risks are: 1) the driver seat is supposed to automatically recline and the steering wheel adjusts upward to allow the driver to exit the vehicle when the ignition is turned off. The seat is supposed to re-adjust forward & steering wheel downward to the memory that the driver sets once the ignition is turned on. Twice the seat and steering wheel would not adjust to the memory settings. The seat stayed reclined and the steering wheel remained upward. I push the levers to move the seat and steering wheel manually in order to drive and reach the pedals, and to see above the steering wheel but neither would move. I had to drive the vehicle carefully to the nearest Ford dealership, barely reaching the accelerator and brake pedals with the steering wheel raised, partially covering my vision. 2) the most critical recent safety risk (which made its visit #14 to the Ford service dept) is when the vehicle abruptly shutt off while in motion in the middle of the street as I was about to enter the freeway. When the vehicle stalled completely in the street, I was driving approx 30mph and a red "power accessory" light lit up. I did not upload all the repair invoices. There are too many to upload; however I do keep copies.

Approximately 1 month ago (in may, 2014), while in the parked position and in a parking space, no foot on brake or accelerator, my 2007 Lincoln Mkz (61,000 miles) engine suddenly revved up and began to thrust forward. I immediately hit my brake hard, which stopped the car prior to hitting the curb or other obstacles; however, had it not been for my quick reflex, I shudder to think what might have happened! there was a curb, a trash can, and a building directly in front of me, and had I not been able to stop the car, there's no doubt I would have plowed straight thru all! I researched the problem online, but found no recalls except on floor mats that get stuck. I don't have the factory installed floor mats in my car and doubt that this is my problem. I did find a few similar complaints about the racing, surging, accelerating engine issues occurring with this make & model. I printed out these complaints and took to my local Ford dealership. They researched it as well and found no recalls and of course they offered to check out the car, inquiring about my extended warranty, if any. I've since had a few incidences of minor unprovoked engine racing while driving that didn't appear to be too critical; however, I have this situation on my mind while driving and the thoughts are unsettling! I don't know what to do at this point as I don't have money for expensive repairs! are there any updates about recalls, etc. Concerning this situation as my life as well as the lives of others are on the line! ---cj, ecnc.
