Vehicle stalls/loses power once fuel reaches below half tank of gas. Ford has issued TSB's on this very issue on many of their other engines, but I've been unable to find a TSB for this issue for my vehicle specifically. Here is the TSB for Ford focus's with this issue: Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain 2012-2018 Ford focus vehicles with a 2. 0l gdi or 2. 0l gtdi engine. The canister purge valve (cpv) may malfunction, possibly causing excessive vacuum in fuel vapor management system. TSB # 18s32. When pressure is being released from the gas tank via the fuel door opening, gas sprays out of the opening and goers stuck/hardened to exterior of car.

My mpg experience to date has been in the 14-17 mpg range. Copies of three tank refill gas receipts showing odometer mpg readings are attached. I am 81 years old and a conservative driver that neither drives at high speeds nor rushes forward out of stops. Lincoln and dealer advertise 21 mpg in city driving. I took the car to the dealer and they certified performance in the 15 mpg area. ( copy attached) . I have also corresponded with Lincoln. Copy their last letter stating that they would reply to stating that they "were not able to be of further assistance " - is there anything you can do to help? cordially raul herrero 305 793 7272 rherrero@ralco. This vehicle was involved in a head on collision with 1997 Mercury grand marquis. Both vehicles were travelling approximately 60 mph. The engine compartment of the Lincoln started on fire. The fire quickly spread to the passenger compartment. The intensity and rapid spread of the fire indicate gasoline from the fuel tank was not contained.
