While driving there is a large pop sound and then extreme static / "white noise" that comes through the speaker system even if the audio is turned off. It will periodically do this off and on and is extremely loud and distracting while driving. Also because it is so sporadic and the pop and static noise is never known when it is going to happen it has nearly caused accidents from being scared when it comes on suddenly. It does this while city driving or highway driving. I can not take a picture of a sound but I do have video and you can also youtube other peoples complaints about this issue. It began for me on July 24, 2018 and has continued to happen on a daily basis since then.

Early this summer the front passenger door open/lock mechanism broke. The door can not be locked. It can be opened from inside but with more force than usual. A few months later the very same problem occurred wth the driver side, front, mechanism. This seems to be a design flaw and not a coincidence.

The 2016 Mkz Hybrid does not come with a spare tire. This was not told to me when the car was purchased. The absence of a spare tire puts one in danger. This should be well documented at time of purchase. They provide a spray can of junk that is useless unless you have a pin in your tire. Any damage to the tire and you are stranded until you can get to a tire outlet that has the tire you need. It is a disgrace that on a luxury vehicle this absence puts you at risk. Can you imagine being stranded on open highway at 2 in the morning. If triple aaa comes you need to be put on a flatbed because they do not have a tire to change. This is a dangerous and serious matter that needs to be addressed by Lincoln motor company.

The passenger side door could not be opened from the inside. Only the outside door handle could open it successfully. The dealer has ordered parts for a repair. He indicated that there is no recall on this issue, although I recall a notification about door problems. Several years ago the left driver's side door had the same problem and required a dealer fix. This apparent defect in door design poses a potentially serious safety risk if an occupant needs to exit the vehicle in an emergency. It seems highly unlikely that both doors would malfunction (at different times) if there was not some inherent design defect. In both instances the inability to exit the vehicle via the usual inside door mechanism occurred when the vehicle was parked.

The panoramic sunroof is delaminating. And area along the left edge of the sunroof, on the drivers side of the car just above the drivers head, is beginning to delaminate on the interior surface. There appears to be a thick film of some sort that is bubbling from the edge toward the center of the roof glass. The car garaged indoors day and night.

Some times the rear back-up camera dash board display will turn off while maneuvering in reverse. Sometimes it will turn off to answer the phone, while the car is moving in reverse. And other times it will flicker then return to the home page. The dealer says its working normally and they can't duplicate the problem. However its happened at least a half dozen times since I've owned the car, in the past 2 yrs. The problem seems to happen when the car is moving in reverse usually when backing out of a parking space with parked cars on either side of me. The car has a sony information center and back-up camera and cross traffic alert and speed sensing radar. Other then that the car drives impeccably.

Driver's door does not open from the inside. It appears that a wire has snapped causing this issue. I have to roll the window down to open the door from the outside.

Vehicle has failed to start on 4 different events over a 6 month period. No power to the vehicle after having it parked in the garage overnight. Event dates are: 12/12/16; 01/04/17; 3/2/17; 3/22/17.

I am currently in a rental and have been for months. California code requires that, if a manufacturer or its representative is unable to repair the motor vehicle to conform to the vehicles applicable express warranty after a reasonable number of attempts. Its been two years, maybe longer. The vehicle is now in nonconformity for over 60 days.

Oem michelin primacy tires and warranty process are a big problem. Getting ready to file tread wear claim on second set after claiming tread wear warranty on first set through my dealer. Only lasted 30k and were to go > 50k. Now same model tires are now worn to replacement and dealer says I need to purchase elsewhere for another tread wear claim. Reason is they were never paid by michelin for first claim. Lincoln and michelin deserve this complaint for the inconvenience and now second defect on tread wear life. Service dept at dealer have been great and understand why they cannot work another claim.

Attempted to get out of the car and the drivers side door would not open. Shut the car off, turned it back on. Hit the lock and unlock button several times and still could not get out of the vehicle. Eventually had to open it from the outside.

I own a Lincoln Mkz Hybrid (2011). I have what I consider a safety failure/hazard. The driver's side door lock/latch failed and I have been unable to open the door from the inside. I have to open the window and open the door by way of the outside handle. In an emergency, if the electrical system was inoperable, a driver would be trapped in the vehicle because the windows would not open and the seat could not move back, thus, potentially trapping a driver.

Above is first time noted. Car will go into gear on its own (when the green blinking, or accessory light is on car's engine is not on & no brake pedal pushed). This has happened with me out of car, other passengers in car, valet moving car for me),,,,,,this is "driving miss daisey" without a morgan freeman (chaufer). Car will roll on its own. Into dealer 3 times but not fixed. Dangerous car. Only happens when vehicle is in "park" or accessory mode (blinking green light" & no foot on brake and no attempt to start car. . . . Just using accessory (I. E. To roll down window). It happens without the solid green icon light on (or ready to drive) and wit no foot on brake pedal.
