One problem related to defogger has been reported for the 1998 Lincoln Navigator. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When starting vehicle blower within the heating and air conditioning system automatically comes on without manual operation, and cannot be shutdown. Cause unknown. Dealer replaced the control system which did not correct the problem. Please give any further details.
