6 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2015

Air suspension on my vehicle begins to bounce in cold weather. Apparently this is a common issue. It is due to a faulty o-ring. I was on a long distance trip and ran into cold weather and the car started bouncing uncontrollably. I feel this could be very dangerous in certain conditions.

7 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/24/2015

The motor running boards, the aluminum piece that suppose to hold the running boards to the vehicle, broke off without any warning. How does this happen? I am driving, stop at the light and make a left turn, and all of a sudden I hear these sound like my running board are sliding out. I pull over and the entire running board is hanging out completely away for the vehicle. Luckily there was no other cars beside me. I had to push it back in and drove very slowly so it would not fall back out and hit another car. This is dangerous and could have cause a serious car accident. The running board needs to be checked on all 2006 Lincoln Navigators as soon as possible.

8 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2015

We have had our Navigator in many of times we have had all of the parts in the suspension changed. We have also put in a new compressor. Drove just fine in the summer spring and fall. Once we got our 1 st cold day we have no suspension again. This is my only car and its a family car. Traction does not work when the suspension is out. On slippery roads truck is all over the road. There is nothing the dealer can do they have done everything they can and it still does not wor . I am afraid I will go off the road with my kids in the SUV. Also with no suspension my back is now out just driving it to the store. Something needs to be done or Lincoln should buy all of them back. We have less then 90,000 on the SUV. When asked when this happened it happens every day its cold out.

9 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/19/2012

Suspension goes out frequently for over 2 years and everything has been checked out and Ford says nothing is wrong after each repair. I don't understand the rules to getting a vehicle replaced but my concerns are above and beyond the rules and should be considered for our safety and well being. We have been in the shop at least 7-10 times during this time. All goes back to same issue - suspension in June of 2009 we purchased a 2006 Lincoln Navigator for nearly $30,000, with the understanding that if we took reasonable care of the care that this would be a dependable, reliable vehicle for our family of 5. Since early 2010 we have had nothing but ongoing problems with the suspension system in this car. We have gone nearly two months and $4,000 in car bills during this time driving other cars from dealers while they have been working on our vehicle. Started with buying a new control module, then ride height sensors, and on to the latest buying a new air compressor. Car broke down on vacation and they said control module (which was just replaced) and needed to order it so we would have been stranded in florida for nearly a week and this would have been the 3rd new control module put into our car. So Ford pumped us up with air and put something in car for nearly $700 and ensured us that will get us back to michigan safely until we could get the new module. Made it 2 hours into our trip and the suspension dropped out on us again. Been nearly 2â½ years with the same issue. Our car has just been taken back in today 1/20/2014 because of the same issue. It broke down on us on our way to a work function this time, so I missed work and we dealt without having car again. Got new air compressor for $900 and it worked for a week this time. Bottomed out again and they said every test performed fine again. When will Ford/Lincoln listen and take action running out of money.

I am having continous problems with my 2006 Lincoln Navigator. For a vehicle of this quality, I never dream of so many problem. I had my suspension system fix last year at the dealer. 1 year has pass now it is gone out again. I had my catylist converter fix at the dearler about 2 years ago. 1 year later they are gone out agian. Now I am riding around with a bouncing Navigator and a sluggist running Navigator with plenty of fumes. I just don't have the funds for continous repairs for the same service. Do the mechanics know what they are doing? I am really frustrasted with this vehicle and the service I have recieved. Bouncing around in a 40,000 + vehicle is imbarrasing. Please help. I have to bum a ride at time. I have to travel , a lot and rent a car. This is getting old and expensive. The dealer want fix it because they say it is out of warranty, eventhough I have paid to have it fixed before. This is not costumer service. Help.
