Parking Brake Problems of Lincoln Navigator

The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln Navigator. While the vehicle was parked on an incline, and in the park position with the emergency brake engaged, the vehicle rolled forward. The keys were not in the ignition when the vehicle crashed into a tractor with a snow blade attached, that was being used by the contact. There were no injuries. A police report was not filed. The contact stated that the snow blade stopped the vehicle. There was front end damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was checked by the dealer and they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired but he received an estimate of $1,611. 88 from the dealer to repair it. The failure and current mileages were 27,371. Updated 03/08/11.

I am the owner of a 2000 Navigator. I bought it from a private owner about a year and a half ago. When go to change gears, the vehicle sometimes won't go into gear or if I put it in park, it sometimes won't go. Then I tried to use my emergency brake when parking, which is what I had to resort to due to the vehicle not staying in gear, it also would not work. I went to get my vehicle safety inspection and of course it did not pass. So that prompted my online research as to how to fix the problem. Then I came across the recall in formation for this vehicle and similar models and I see that some recalls were made, but not for my vehicle's year. I was wondering if my vehicle's year model should be included in some of the other recalls because I have the exact same problem but my vehicle is a 2000 and the recall was for a 1998 and so on.
