Warnings Problems of Lincoln Navigator

The collision warning doesn't warn sometimes. Nothing goes off when im approaching and or have slammed on my breaks to avoid a collision. Sometimes it goes off at a great distance when it doesn't make sense to go off. I just bought the car used and have noticed this a lot. Also sometimes lane departure corrects and sometimes it doesn't. Something is off.

Pre collision pedestrian/cyclist warning automatic braking not working. Dealership tried 2x did all upgrades, checked another vehicle same results. Ford said both to technician and myself. This is normal. So pre collision does not activate in city traffic when they advertise and charge for this feature. Open to accidents and I jury.

Vehicle is subject to multiple open federal safety recalls with no repair remedy currently available from Ford/Lincoln. One recall involves potential fuel pump failure causing loss of fuel pressure, engine stall while driving, and increased crash risk. A second recall involves interruption of driver assistance and visibility systems including rearview camera, forward collision warning, lane keeping, and related safety systems. This vehicle is operated in a commercial passenger rental fleet. Due to federal rental vehicle recall compliance requirements, the vehicle was removed from rental service immediately after issuance of the recalls and cannot legally be rented until repaired. Ford/Lincoln currently has no available repair remedy despite the recalls having been active for an extended period of time. The lack of available remedy has rendered the vehicle commercially unusable for an extended period while continuing to create ongoing safety concerns related to engine stall and interruption of critical driver assistance systems. The vehicle remains unavailable for lawful commercial operation pending manufacturer remedy.

When driving with the cruise control activated, after the brake has been applied or the cruise control cancel button is pressed, the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking system doesn't appear to be active. The sensors do not detect a car in front until either cruise control is re-engaged, or the cruise control system is turned of completely. Dealer has verified that this behavior is similar to another car of same model and year. Dealer has inspected and said that it appears to be designed to work that way, but will talk to senior manufactures technical resources.

After the recall on the backup camera the image processing unit (ipmb) has gone bad and the car does not display any camera information views (back up, front, 360 degree). I believe this is also related to the back up camera recall and should be addressed.

I was driving driving down the road at 45 mph, and then the rear object sensor came on the dash. Then the check engine light and about not reading a sensor. Then the vehicle locked up all 4 wheels squealed tires and came to complete stop, and then started moving forward again. Then I got scared and stopped the vehicle, put it in park and then put it back in drive, driving slower until the sensors flashed back on, I pulled over cut the vehicle to re start it and it would not cut back on, but never shut completely off. The ac fans were still blowing full blast, but the motor was not running and we could not get it to re start. We ended up disconnecting the ecm and plugged it back in and it started back up. We have driven it since with no other issues but today the sensors started flashing today.
