One problem related to universal joint has been reported for the 1996 Lincoln Town Car. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer experienced resistance in the steering wheel when returning to the neutral position after making a turn, dealer found one side of the universal joint had froze up and was extremely hard to turn, part was replaced and problem was corrected.
