One problem related to tank filler pipe and cap has been reported for the 1997 Lincoln Town Car. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving vehicle stalled out at least 3-4 times a week. Has taken vehicle to dealership & mechanic placed vehicle on diagnostic machine. No code came up. Mechanic did replace fuel filter/ idler/ neck in fuel tank & a canister. But, problem still exists.
