Engine Failure problems of the 1998 Lincoln Town Car

Complete engine failure. 1998 linclon purchased 9/6/98. Original owner and car is maintained at dealership at approx 3500 miles. Full complement of oil at time of incident. 56087 miles. Fv826006arm 4. 6l . 1lnfm83wiwy718403. Engine was replaced.

2 Engine Failure problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2004

While the consumer was driving at an undetermined speed, the vehicle stalled. The consumer had the vehicle towed to a dealership and the mechanic determined the problem was due to engine failure. About an inch away on the wheel well, there was a 1/4 hole which allowed saltwater from the left front tire to be sprayed up and caused corrosion to accumulate in the fuse box.

Possible engine failure caused leakage. Yh.
