I recently went to a mechanic and was told that my intake manifold on my 2000 Lincoln towncar was leaking. He also advised me about a recall about the leaking manifolds but when I contacted Lincoln they denied any recalls about it. I have yet not repaired my intake manifold and am still waiting for a response from Ford or Lincoln from my letters that I have written.
Keyless pad on driver door is not functioning properly. Last 2 buttons lock vehicle, but head and taillights come on. Sometimes they stay on for 30 seconds, other times they stay on all night, and drain battery. Lincoln has told consumer that it was a characteristic of vehicle. Vehicle has been to dealer 5-6 times for repair, but unable to remedy. The field service engineer stated that there is no remedy for the problem unless the manufacturer redesigns a new modular.
Consumer accidently hit the gas pedal instead off the brake pedal as a result of them being to close together. Dealer contacted. Mr.
Requesting recall information on the aforesaid car.
Part of instrument panel will light up only when headlights are on, and the other part will light up only when turning on igintion, making it difficult to see gauges.
Sunlight causes a reflection of the defrost vents onto the windshield, the images are at eye level and become very distracting as the vehicle moves and causes poor visibility.
