The brakes did not function at 30 miles per hour which caused the consumer to loose control of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they were unable to determine a cause.
After starting vehicle consumer shifted to reverse, suddenly vehicle accelerated on its own. Vehicle came to a stop when it hit a fire hydrant. Damage was $ 3000. 00. On 28, may 2002 ,also at first start, consumer shifted to reverse and vehicle accelerated on it's own. Consumer braked, but was unable to stop vehicle. Vehicle came to stop when it hit a fence. Damage was $ 6700. 00. No injuries.

I could not stop the car by braking, a concrete bench held me up from crossing the curb and going on to the sidewalk. I am not sure if it was the accelerator or the brakes .
When brakes were applied under normal condition pedal went to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer was inspecting vehicle. When the vehicle stopped, the rear wheels started to spin and smoke. Dealer says ther is nothing wrong with the vehicle.
