Warning light for airbag came on suddenly yesterday with no incident, light stays on and 5 sets of beeps repeating 5 times occurs, this occurred after the car was started and beeps started after driving. . . After turning off vehicle and turning back on it continues to exhibit same airbag light and beeping. . . Drives with no issues except that.
I started my Town Car and the air bag warning light started flashing and then the light remained constant. The series of chimes then started and stopped after the fifth series. This happened while the vehicle remained in park.
As so many people have experienced, my 2006 Town Car has had the orange illuminated airbag warning light on the dash , along with the 5 chimes over and over. This has been going on for years, and I'm shocked to see how prevalent it actually is. Shame shame Lincoln.
Seatbelt / airbag warning light indicator is warning about either faulty sensor or faulty belt tensioner. Began while in parked poison and continues periodically when in motion, regardless of speed. Cost to repair is exorbitant, nearly half the value of the car and is not guaranteed to work is last. The airbags will likely not worth in the event of accident but no way to tell unless there is an accident. Serious fault regarding required safety equipment with this make/model year. Mileage is 170,100. Also, the passenger side floorboard, especial in backseat become saturated when it rains. Floor plugs are intact, the water is entering from poor design feature where the windshield/engine meet and supposedly slow for water to be channeled away from engine to ground but is actually channelling along the side into the passenger cabin footwell. Again, this design flaw is a known issue from manufacturer. This is a health and safety issue, especially in warm climates due to mold growing as a result of water pooling in cabin. As this car was garaged kept and not used often until the past 6 months, the water issue wasnt known until first rain this spring, 2016. Car was in open air, uncovered driveway and not in use for 2 weeks after said rain. When owner opened car door, she was hit with overwhelming stench of mold. She located the source and water had visibly saturated floor, rug and padding underneath. Black and green mold had grown extensively in backseat passenger floorboard and under front passenger seat.

On Friday, October 23, 2015 I backed my car out of the garage on to the driveway. As I hooked my seat belt all the warning lights in dash went off except for the airbag light. About one-half miles later, the beeps started. 5 beeps, then pause. A total of 25 beeps in all. I see from other complaints it does that every 30 minutes. I had only 53,500 miles at the time. It is still like new and should not be having those problems. I see from all the complaints this has been going on since 2004. I would think a company as large as yours would have done something about it before now. I always thought you were 'man enough' to stand by your product. It is a crying shame!!!!! we need a recall on this. You are putting people's lives in danger!!!!! please reconsider and take care of your customers.

Warning light came on beeped 5x in a row several times stopped then repeated over and over as long as we were driving. Cost over 450. 00 to replace seat belt. There seem to be many of this same problem listed. I have had 7 Town Cars in the last 20 years, never had a problem. I have already had a recall repair on the steering column. But, still love that car!!!.
The air bag warning light came on and the alarm to get your attention sounded. This alarm occurs often and is disconcerting. I talked with the service manager at the local dealership concerning this problem and asked on two occasions for a free diagnosis of the reason of the airbag light warning and alarm but was turned down. I do not drive the car often as I am not sure if the air bags will deploy in the event of an accident.
