While driving my vehicle at approximately 45 mph on a local highway, there was an uncommanded movement of the foot pedal adjustment. The pedals retracted away from my feet to the maximum stop furthest away, which put them out of my reach and rendered it nearly impossible to activate the brakes or accelerator pedals. This nearly caused a loss of control accident, had I not disengaged my seat belt and slid forward under the dash to reach the pedals to stop the vehicle. I was subsequently able to use the control switch to move the pedals back into position.

The ¿the Lincoln motor company ¿ important safety recall is just another Ford lie. It states ¿there is no charge to vehicle owners for recall repairs performed by an authorized dealer. ¿ Ford has closed all of the Lincoln dealerships in the immediate san francisco area. The nearest Lincoln dealerships are an hour away during off-peak traffic hours. Forget it during peak traffic hours. When you get to the dealership, they have no loaner vehicle. They don't even have a rental on-site. You have to make your own arrangements someplace across town. My experience is that it took four returns to a dealership, each for a full day, to get one recall repair performed. My car is currently under recall for: gas tank problems, steering column problems, and I understand air bags. That doesn't include the computer system that has never worked, that Lincoln was unable to repair when the dealerships were in the bay area. Writing to the Lincoln motor company, customer relationship center is probably as big a waste of time as writing this letter.

I have a 2003, Lincoln towncar and when it rains, the passenger side floor board gets soaking wet, I can have it under the car port and it still gets wet. I do not have any holes in the car. I had the same problem with my 1999 Lincoln towncar and they changed by wind sheild four or five times and it did not solve the problem in the 1999 the passenger side floor board would wetter than the back, with the 2003 the back floor board is wetter than the front, I almost think it is coming from something under the seat.
: the contact stated while stopped at a stop light, the vehicle was struck from behind. The vehicle was pushed 150 feet forward. There is a looseness that allows the seat to move about freely while being seated. This happens at its own free will, no power assist or manual movement necessary. The consumer is concerned because there is a passenger side airbag. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer. Consumer experiencing back problem while driving vehicle. Believed the design in the seat causes back discomfort. Dealer/mfr. Notified.
The front seat is designed and installed in such a way that the consumer was not facing directly forward in the seat, this causes pain and circulation problems for the consumer.
