Ford motor company, p. O. Box 1904, dearborn, michigan 48121, chose to not warn a segment of their full-size car owners who are "civilian" that their cars were produced with a plastic intake manifold that was failing and causing enormous coolant problems for their 4. 6l v-8 engines and other component engine parts. Because Ford did not notify me of their known problems with the intake manifold the defected part caused my car to repeatedly loose coolant and cause my car to overheat and finally blow my intake manifold gasket causing me to replace defective intake manifold (copy of shop bill attached) and causing unknown damages to my engine. I am requesting a refund for these repairs.

I've owned a 96 Lincoln Town Car for about 2 years now and the intake manifold cracked recently what can I do about that cause I've just recently heard about the recall and I don't want to have to worry about that constantly happening, is there any thing I can do.
I recently went to a mechanic and was told that my intake manifold on my 2000 Lincoln towncar was leaking. He also advised me about a recall about the leaking manifolds but when I contacted Lincoln they denied any recalls about it. I have yet not repaired my intake manifold and am still waiting for a response from Ford or Lincoln from my letters that I have written.

The front interior door handles, on the driver and passenger sides, became dislodged from the internal door opening mechanism, cannot be returned to the original position, and do not work. The door can only be opened by rolling down the electric window and pulling the outer latch. Ford service centers can no longer procure the part (the door trim panel) to do the repair as Ford has discontinued manufacturing them and has no more in stock. Another report of the same problem exists in the NHTSA database, and it appears similar to the problem that lead Ford to recall the 2008 expedition and navigator. I have contacted Ford, and there is no recall on the 2004 Lincoln. I have been unsuccessful finding the part in the aftermarket. It is the entire trim panel sold as one piece. Since the Ford service center cannot repair the door without the part, I have resorted to removing the door panel, resetting the handle, and drilling screws through the panel to help hold the door handle in place so that it will open the door and not become dislodged from the mechanism. But this has failed repeatedly, the entire plastic holding the handle in place has broken loose, and only works now when I treat the handle in a very delicate and awkward manner. I fear that during a fire or crash I or a passenger will not be able to open the door to escape. Since the parts are not available, the Ford service center cannot perform the repair. Having seen how the mechanism works, I am not completely confident that the original design was sufficient to hold the door handle in place over time, and that a replacement part may not be sufficient.

2005 Lincoln tonw car accelerator sticks, with cruise control not engaged. It will accelerate while braking, at a stop, in reverse, and almost anytime at anytime. I brought the car into the shop, first time they billed me to clean things out. This didn't work so they said they would drive it to see what it was. Less than 1/8th tank of gas and a week later they found nothing. Gave it back with a computor in it and a button to push when it did it again. 3 days later I had 4 examples pushed on there computor. Now they said they can't retrive the information.

My 2006 Lincoln Town Car brake pedal depresses below the level of the accelerator a significant amount. The Ford/Lincoln dealer reports that it is operating normally, with no fix available. Foot pressure must be applied with no accelerator overlap, otherwise the car surges, the engine revs & tires spin resulting in a longer, stopping distance. This is ongoing since new. No accidents yet.
Driver noticed flames at the right rear corner of the vehicle while driving along the ohio turnpike.
Car has a problen in the steering box. Took it to a specialist and Ford discounted it. They sent a Lincoln rep down and he just lied to me about the problem said it was a factory flaw and could not fix , then I took the car into the dealer for a pinging and they said they couldn't hear it (nothing was done)then later on a trip it went haywire sounded like a big diesel truck on the highway and ran like crap , sucking gas also, then changed dealers and they said they coulden't find a ping . I grabed me a mechanic and we took a little ride and before I could get it back it was pinging (took them 3 weeks to fix with me coming up almost daily to test it, and nobody can adjust the head lights on the car that is bad its idiot proof.
Chrome trim around front and rear window is turning ugly browm and can\\'t be cleaned. To replace front window is $292 and to replace rear is $562. Can\\'t find trim part alone. Also, chrome trim on side moulding is turning a dark yellow. Pretty ugly for an expensive auto.

I'm in the limo business and my problem is with the dealers during warranty. They say the check engine light being on is a mystery and no problem during warranty. Then after warranty they tell you you need $3,000-$6,000 in repairs and parts to get it to go out. So like an idiote I go for it and the light is still on.
