Driving down interstate and check engine light started flashing and car lost power. Called dealer and they said the light was an engine malfunction. Stated not to drive it. Got it towed to repair shop. When they diagnosed car they stated the pcm module went out and was sending uninterupted electricity to engine coils and suprised the car didn't start on fire. They also stated the pcm module was in its 13th design as they have had problems with this before and Lincoln had a technical service bulletin as it has been common.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Lincoln zepher. The contact stated every morning when its cold the vehicle will not start up but when its warm outside the vehicle will start up. The vehicle battery had to be charged up to be taken to the dealership. The dealer did diagnosed the vehicle but stated there was not failure on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 99,800. Ng.
