Automatic Transmission Problems of Lincoln Zephyr

2003 Lincoln Zephyr. Consumer writes in regards to transmission problems. The consumer stated the vehicle would not pick up speed, when driving up a hill. At times, the vehicle would then coast several feet. The consumers handwriting is illegible.

The contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. The contact stated that when up shifting, the vehicle would not respond to higher gears and would begin jerking abnormally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the transmission was defective and would need replacing. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the manufacturer did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000 and the current mileage was approximately 26,500.
