One problem related to sun roof has been reported for the 1996 Mazda 626. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Sunroof shattered as I was driving and sent glass flying throughout my car. Pulled small shards from my scalp, fortunately none got into my eyes. The glass portion of the sunroof was closed and I was not attempting to open it. It simply exploded.
